All the 5 points in that horribly written article are complete crap.

Monopolies? Sure. That's why we now have Origin, Battle.NET, uPlay, Windows 10 Store, GOG Galaxy, Bethesda Launcher etc.
Little guys left out? Looks like someone haven't heard of Greenlight, or how Steam has increased sales of small indie titles many folds just within a day of release.
Steam has pricing power? Bullshit. Publishers set the price. At least Steam has given us region specific pricing. Look what Origin did.
Valve doesn't promote their platform. Sure. Instead they host huge sales and have discounts throughout the year which are more useful to the customers.

PC Gaming DOMINATED game revenue in 2015, and Steam had a large part to play in it.

Well what. It's a well known fact that Microsoft wants to close down the Windows platform like Mac, which is the main reason Gabe Newell is pushing for Steam in Linux, Mac and Steam OS. Infact if Steam wasn't so big we would all be using Games For Windows Live today. I hope you know how bad that was.

I meant what if Gabe Newell changes his mind too, some fine day!!! Going by his current decisions, seems like he just wants to rake in a lot of moolah and doesnt give a damn about the community anymore! Abandoned hl3

Looks like someone broke the street date. Anyways, did they reduce the Steam price? It's 3k now on Steam, wasn't it 4k?

Yep price dropped on steam. It was 4299 before. Here we go! I cancelled my amazon purchase and bought it off steam.

Was watching some videos of the game. The game seems to slow down when a weapon swap is done. Why would they do this.

and the multiplayer?
Was watching an ex Quake pro's stream and he sounded very disappointed with it. He said he was thinking of going pro in Doom but changed his mind after playing it. Haven't played it myself, but it didn't look like much either.
