These white spots came about 6 months back and at that time is was just a few. Now It has increased so much. There's one big one in center of screen too. All these are visible only when the screen is white or grey colour and not other times. Searched web and youtube for this and did not find anything. Anyone have any idea?

I have seen this but on a 5 year old Samsung LCD TV. We heralded it as the end of life of the TV. This also led to severe display issues later on.

Which brand and how old is it ?

I'm surprised to discover its shoddy workmanship. If indeed this is the case, the glue holding those circular reflectors has come loose and you have to glue it back.

Does not seem like an easy fix but not impossible.

It's 32" FHD LED Sanyo branded TV by Panasonic. The TV is just 3 years old. Out of warranty now. I've seen those diy videos on YouTube showing glueing these reflectors back. It's a headache to open the TV and do all that. I'm guessing the heat from the LED lights must be ungluing the reflectors.
