Few months down the line, there may be a possibility to go to Canada. If it does happen/work out then what gadgets should I be looking for which are unavailable from India or should be relatively cheaper than buying from India. Also how to make sure that the electronics would work under Indian line conditions rather than Canada which might have different voltage, watts scenario.
 
It's not necessary to buy an electronic gadget just because one is going abroad, if you are asking strangers what you want to buy for yourself you probably don't need anything
That being said Canadian prices are around 20% more than the US market, stick to gadgets with low failure rates like Headphones, USB DAC's or pc components like SSD's, RAM and CPU's.
Alternatively you can buy some good clothes/watches or just come down with a bottle of maple syrup.
 
Maple syrup, poutine (if you are veg only ask what the gravy is made of), Go and see the northern lights if the time is right. You could go to a wolf sanctuary, you can pet a polar bear, they are very friendly and will definitely not maul you to death.
