Or netbeans, whichever you find better. I personally find eclipse a bit confusing

we, in colg lab type the program in notepads and save it in java format and use cmd to compile and run it............some ide cald j2dk

yeah,..that's what we do in college as well,..

as for a good ide,..eclipse is portable,..but i prefer netbeans because of it's similarity to visual studio. since i have programmed in it before,..i feel comfortable with the interface.

Netbeans is really a good IDE. Download its latest version and atleast give it a try... cheers...:hap2:

Netbeans is really good but I haven't used eclipse. I think I tried Eclipse once looong ago and couldn't find my way around it.

No other then Eclipse ganymede it's best; and has lots of additional plug ins available on net.
Netbeans is heavy on resource.

eclipse is used heavily in industry....if u hav hand on it...thn ur resume value will definitely going to increase
