Which laptop to buy - budget 75k INR

A friend of mine is planning to buy a laptop.. This thread is behalf of him.. His parents stay in Dubai and he plans to get it from there..

* What's your Budget? (e.g. >30K, not more than 50K etc.)
75k INR (or 6000 AED)

* What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? (e.g. web surfing/office apps/Casual Gaming)
Running Pro-Tools (and other audio engineering applications), gaming and other casual usage..

* What size and weight considerations do you have?
Around 13" to 15"
* Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest?
He has Mac Book Pro 13" in his mind now..

Any suggestions guys ?

in india, go for studio xps 16, with the i series proccy.

Also, try for lenovo higher end models.

studio XPS 16 would also be a good choice within this budget.

With a budget of 75K INR, the 13" MacBook pro is a no brainer.

Go for the ones with Core i-5/i-7. Sony Vaio is a good choice in your budget. Mac book Pro's are still stuck with C2D's :no:

sony vaio cw series would be a good choice.

have been using the i5-520, 4gb ddr,nvidia gt 330m,500gb version

i am quite impressed with this.. thr is absolutely no heating.. gives a 3hrs backup when not gaming and a 2 hrs backup when playing batlefield 2.

mine is the icy white version.. looks good too

at 75k, macbook pro can be a good choice if 90% of the work that your friend does can be done on OS X. If most of the apps are windows based apps, there is no point in getting macbook pro and running windows on it.

In laptops, look for Dell Studio XPS with core i7 and DX11 GPU or Sony VAIO with similar h/w. I would vouch for Sony given the sleekness and display quality that they put in their models.
