All OS Why are most tablets unavailable in India?

Because they keep dumping outdated crap no one else wants on india. Both phones and tabs.
I have an amazon fire and need to upgrade, thinking of a 10 incher next.

The Lenovo tab 2 was a good option, but no longer available from amazon and 3rd party sellers are ripping off (>$200)
Thinking of asking a friend to get one from the US.

I mean, if I want a tablet under 20k, my choices are basically Lenovo or 2 year old Samsung models. No Kindle Fire or Asus Zenpad.
Any advice on a tablet under 20k, preferable around 15k? Right now my best bet seems to Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 for 12k, or an Ipad for 25k (overbudget)

The biggest problem with cheap tabs is the display quality and resolution. In this case it's 1280 x 800. Especially an issue with a 10" tab. I think a minimum FHD display is needed for large screen sizes.

Your best bet according to me is, to get samsung s2 9.7 inch version from olx at around 15k. Right now its not available for that price but i have seen a few such listings. AMOLED screen with fantastic resolution.
