Introduction

Now this here is a game that can redefine RTS multiplayer gaming as it introduces a lot of new concepts with fast furious gameplay. Reminds me of the old Red Alert 2 gaming days where RTS multiplayer games were fast and pure fun without dragging!

Now i hope I neednt explain much of the game as it was considered one of the best PC games at E3 2007. In a nutshell, it's an RTS game of war between USA and USSR in a timeline where the USSR didnt collapse in 1989 and is trying to conquer the world.

There are fixed maps for the multiplayer (As of now 2) so it involves a lot of getting to know the map and planning your strategy and executing it then a regular create units and attack gameplay which we experience in normal RTS games.

Gameplay

You choose sides as either USSR or USA and within that choose one role from the given 4 roles : Infantry, Air, Armour and Support.

Infantry = army division, Air = Diff types of helicopters, Armour = Tanks and AVs , Support = Artillery, Repair and Anti Air.

Points get distributed among everybdy which can be used for purchasing required units under ur respective role and then you role out.

There would be control points in the map that need to be captured to gain points. The team that either controls all points for a fixed time or controls most points by the time the timer runs out (20 minutes in the given map) wins. That means each game gets over within a max of 20 minutes and a result is highly likely.

Units destroyed get added back to ur points list slowly that can be again bought. Now, the real strategy (and fun!) in the game is the Tactical Aid system. In the TA, you get points when for doing stuff like controling a point or destroying enemy which add up and can be redeemed for offensive and defensive aids. Offensive include artillery strikes, tank buster, laser guided bombs , precision bombing, Napalm strikes etc etc to heavy stuff like Carpet bombing and finally the Nuke! The Nuke is awesome and the best iv seen in a RTS game to date and there is a sound when launched preceding the strike that makes all players hold their breath for a second to determine who got nuked!

This game calls for teamplay like we're used to in CS where each person takes a role like sniper / machine gun/ rifle etc and each needs to help the other one out to win the game.
Will get the game when it hit shelves in Sept. This is one game u dont want to miss if you're a RTS fan! :hap2:

PS: Will attach screenshots later.
