Xiaomi Mi A2 launched in India on Aug. 8

At last someone is speaking out :

Apparently, the poor battery life stems from a bug that maxes out the eight CPU cores in the Mi A2. Even when the device is sitting idle with barely any processes running, all eight cores are running at maximum speed, which obviously drains the battery very quickly. However, there’s no reason for the cores to run so fast.
...

Maybe Xiaomi will now rectify the prob.

Mi A2 Pie beta is out :

Observations so far, by a user:
Google Lens is included within the Camera's own stock app, Camera2API hasn't been enabled yet so no Google Camera for now, no one knows if Xiaomi and/or Google will enable it or not.
Memory issue has been fixed, no longer will the phone freeze or slowdown when deleting huge files (e.g cleaning Chrome's cache for example).
CPU cores being stuck at 1401MHz frequency no longer occurs, apparently it's also been fixed as well.
New gesture available within the system, now you can use your fingerprint sensor to swipe the notifications bar up and down, the same gesture that was available for the Mi A1 at launch.
The appearance and UI of this new system presents a much better experience and the rounded edges now fit nicely well with the system's UI.
