The $105 Lemon 3 is Lenovo's answer to the Redmi 3
http://www.androidcentral.com/105-lemon-3-lenovos-answer-redmi-3

Earlier this week, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi 3, offering stellar hardware for the equivalent of $105. Lenovo has now launched the Lemon 3, which offers similarly-competitive hardware for the same price. The phone comes with a 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 616 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP camera, 5MP front shooter, LTE, and a 2750mAh battery.

While Lenovo's latest budget phone offers a higher-resolution display than the Redmi 3, which has a 5-inch 720p display, the latter comes with a massive 4100mAh battery, giving it a battery life of two days at the minimum.

They had to name it Lemon 3???Seriously????
On a serious note both phones are more or less similarly specced but Mi has a far larger battery but its offset to an extent by the MIUI which drains a tad more in my experience.

Recent 7.1.1 update has better memory optimizations and battery. I can do 1 full day with continuous use on a 2200mAh battery , With that logic i guess Redmi 3 it would last 2 days easily.

End of the day, Never go with specs. It's Xiaomi and its still Lollipop when Marshmallow released around 3 months back.

Any idea of the India launch.. Hope it's not delayed by 2-3 months
No confirmed date as of now. But i don't think that it will be delayed that long. We'll probably get it by next month.[DOUBLEPOST=1452758181][/DOUBLEPOST]
Any idea about the price ?
My guess is it'll be between 7k-8k. Unless they plan to phase out the Redmi 2.

Xiaomi to launch Redmi Note 3 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, 16-megapixel camera in India
Since 2014, Xiaomi has been battling Ericsson, which filed a patent infringement lawsuit in regards to its Standard Essential Patents for wireless technology standards like GSM, Edge and 3G. With the ensuing court battle, Xiaomi is only allowed to sell smartphones that are powered by Qualcomm’s chipset. This would explain why Xiaomi is bringing a
Redmi Note 3 variant to India that is
powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 chipset.
ALL HAIL QUALCOMM CHIPSETS! :D

The Redmi Note 3 will not be released in India due to a patent infringement filed by Ericsson. However, we will soon be getting the most awaited flagship from Xiaomi, the Mi 5.

Xiaomi is set to make an announcement in India tomorrow.

Xiaomi’s India head Manu Kumar Jain
put up a teaser on Twitter along with
the caption – ‘An exciting
announcement will
happen tomorrow’. He tweeted an image of spacecraft with the words –
Mi Generation. T-24 hours to lift off. He
also wrote, ‘#MiGeneration – An
exciting announcement will
happen tomorrow :) Always believe
something wonderful is about to happen.’

"Permissions" is definitely one of the highlights of MIUI.

Thinking of rooting and switching to CM, not sure of what I would loose :([DOUBLEPOST=1452776206][/DOUBLEPOST]@Marcus Fenix :

http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/coolpad-note-3-lite-with-3gb-ram-fingerprint-sensor-launched-at-rs-6999-790133
The dual-SIM dual-4G Coolpad Note 3 Lite runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned with Cool UI 6.0, and features a 5-inch IPS display with an HD (720x1280) resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM - which can be considered the highlight of the device at this price point. Another highlight is its fingerprint sensor, placed on the back panel below the camera module.

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with and f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include 4G (with support for Indian LTE bands), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB (with OTG).

The Note 3 Lite runs on a 2500mAh non-removable battery that's rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk-time, and up to 200 hours of standby time. It features an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and digital compass.

The company added that VoLTE (voice over LTE) functionality would also be made available, though did not specify the timeline for release. An Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Coolpad Note 3 Lite was also said to be in the pipeline. Coolpad added it had partnered with HCL for after sales service in India.

lol. Too many threads are gonna come up if we create a thread for every small news/info imo.

This redmi phone is gonna gonna rock..
It will, in its range. Sadly the Redmi 3 is not for dual-sim users like me. :(
One full page of "preview" and nothing on the hardware build quality. >_>

Review : https://www.androidpit.com/xiaomi-redmi-3-review
Final verdict
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 outperforms most devices in its price range. But the leap in quality between the Redmi 2 and Redmi 3 is abysmal both in design, battery life and performance. In China, it is a lot better option than the Moto G but the rest of the world the price is a bit high due to import costs.
The real negative I have about this phone is that as of this moment, the operating system is only in English.

I have some issues with that review. First "only Chinese and English" can't be said to be a con. Second the lack of proper graphical benches/performance test on games like Asphalt/Dead Trigger etc. No video/audio/net loop battery test.
It seems to be a rather good phone at its price. But the hybrid SIM+memory card is a deal breaker for me. :/
