ZTE is a company on fire. Churning out new handsets faster than you can read (or probably not, but you get the point), ZTE has come a long way from it's once uber popular ZTE Blade (aka Dell XCD 35) to becoming the world's 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer. This company from China has set it's sight on the top spot, and the Chinese government has stepped in to do their part, giving ZTE a $20 billion loan for "overseas expansion" (we know what that means!). Fresh leaks give us a closer insight into ZTEs upcoming flagship and phablet, the ZTE Nubia Z5. Read on to know more.
ZTE Nubia Z5

The ZTE Nubia Z5 is the company's highest end Droid yet. And rightly so too. You will think the same once you have a look at what the phone phablet packs. Complete ZTE Nubia Z5 specifications follows.
ZTE Nubia Z5 Full Specifications

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064
  • 1.5 GHz quad core Krait CPU
  • Adreno 320 GPU
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • 5" Full HD 1080p (1920*1080) display
  • 13 MP rear camera, LED flash
  • 1080p video recording @ 30 fps
  • 7.6 mm slim profile
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

The ZTE Nubia Z5 will pack the ever increasingly popular Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset. We really have no complaints here, the performance is excellent. The display is a 5" 1080p unit, putting it on par with HTC's latest DROID DNA (better known as Butterfly, globally).

On the back, we have a 13 MP camera which should give the phone a nice appeal to those looking for a camera smartphone. All this hardware is nearly wrapped up in a 7.6 mm slim profile, and the phone dons an appealing and elegant design that we haven't seen before (read, original). And then you have a nice coating of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with ZTE's custom UI (which looks somewhat inspired from the likes of MIUI and Flyme OS).

We honestly hope the Nubia Z5 gets a much deserved worldwide launch soon, so that the phone receives the proper attention that it deserves, beyond the walls of China as well.
