Anybody here in US and using AT&T ?

Need your help in getting my iPhone unlocked. Those AT&T people are not entertaining the non AT&T customers properly but if someone having AT&T service can try for my iPhone's IMEI number and try to see if they can get it unlocked.

They are just responding better of someone logins to his / her ATT accounts and chats with their chat rep.

Sad but true. I have tried calling twice and 3 times chats with different people (thru some direct chat link) and all ask me proof of purchase which i don't have.

But if someone who has ATT just requests they process the request faster.

I just want to give this option a chance.
 
Hey guys , My cousin got a iphone 4s from the US locked to some carrier at&t i guess. He is stuck on the activation required thing. I know about the gevey sim. So inserting that sim with the normal gsm sim will bypass that activation page? Could someone please help me with this then i will order the sim from the net. PM me regarding this. Thank You.
 
My friend's iphone home button is not working properly. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. How much will a new home button cost ? service is provided by redington India right ?

PS: Didn't want to create new thread that's why posted here.

Why on earth would Redington India provide you with warranty for an iPhone?

If bought in India the carrier will take care of it else you are stuck with 3rd party options.

The Apple Service Centre will not touch the phone.

She broke her screen few weeks ago and got it replaced from redignton India by paying for it

How much did they charge ?,also was the home button fixed ?

If any Bangalore members want to repair iPhone #Ank1t does provide repair service. He is located near Koramangala BDA complex.

If any one wants his number PM me , cant disclose it here.

PS: I am no way related to him or his repair service or used his service yet.

My iPhone4 home button is acting up , got a quote of 900/- for the replacement, which is feel is quite reasonable. Hence posting info here.

yes....just now received a mail from them(AT&T) that my phone is eligible for unlock. As per instructions I updated itune to latest (800mb downloaded in 30mins), done backup and restore and VOILA!!!

"Congratulation your iphone has been unlocked" msg appeared on itune. Feeling super today

hmmm..but now I need a microsim to test the unlock..whic carrier is providing microsim in india ? else i will have to cut my failtel sim.

There is no way to find eligibility to unlock for ur iphone...if u have any iphone locked to AT&T network, then call AT&T customer care, tell them that u bought the phone on ebay/craiglist and you wish to unlock it.

they wile ask for IMEI number and your email.. in 4-5 days u will receive confirmation from them whether ur iphone is eligible or not depending upon owners history/ 2 years contract over or not like that.

thats the only thing u can do to unlock...I did the same
