Oh God. I know that. I just do not like to type in a small height pane. ;) How to manually increase...?

I guess there isn't an option for that. The only workaround seems to be to keep pressing "enter" until the pane is sufficiently big, and then ctrl+a and delete. The pane stays the same size then. Cumbersome, and really without any purpose though. :P

But that banner was placed on the top of the page (easy to ignore).... now it seems to appear after certain post..... probably after the first unread post or the post to which the user navigates....
Well look at it this way.

Like any big site, running TE month on month incurs a good cost. Then there are enhancements like forums software, addons, skins etc which also have some cost attached to it. All these costs are recovered through the ads. So I believe that having one ad per page is not really a huge cost to pay for using TE. I can move the ad to some ignored position like before and they will become meaningless.

You can always use ad block utility but then again its not as if we are bombarding you with ads. Think of it as a small donation that you are paying to enjoy TE.

I log into TE once a day. Previously when I'm browsing a section, the threads updated since my last visit were in a bold font, and the others were in normal font.
Now all the threads are in bold font, so I need to check the 'last post' timestamp on the threads to check if somebody has posted on the thread since my last visit.
Is there any way to revert that behaviour?

Still works

np... can live with that one banner..... not a huge distraction....
Still miles better than other sites where the banner expands and covers the entire reading area and then you have to search for the close button on that stupid banner....

Perhaps you can try marking all threads as read once. The link for that is in the top navigation bar.

Observed this in many threads; when a person reply to defined template, whole reply is not visible in dark theme...

^ Ren has already answered this on previous pages.

Yeah the font colours in the template were overriding the skin defaults. Removed the colours from the template. Let us know if there are still issues :)
Edit: This was only in Mobile buying advice section right?

If he was not interested in updating on the previous platform then I doubt he would want to port it to another platform. Well for that look he first has to port it and then I have to put in around 12 hours of work into it. It heavily customized by me in terms of look.

Another option is to get some skin designer to port it for us. This will take a few hundred dollars. It is much cheaper to just buy a $30 readymade skin.
Yeah ok

I want post count & join date to show under the names of people as it always did, is that possible ?

As far as themes go i will have to take a look see.

For readability sepia works best. Easier on the eyes.

Light is too bright
Dark appeals to adolescent males

Contrast on last two is still too high making readabilty harder

Yup !

I believe post count may urge few people to reply in each n every thread even if they don't have anything to contribute to the topic, just for the sake of increasing the count. So not showing it is a better idea.

I followed your instructions, marked all forums as 'read' on Wednesday and logged off. Logged on yesterday, and the threads updated since Wednesday were in bold and rest in normal font.
But I didn't mark the forums as 'read' yesterday. I checked today and yesterday's threads are all in bold, only what I marked 'read' are in normal font.
So does that mean that I have to mark the forums as 'read' everyday?

Join date and post count is possible but not desirable. I don't see how that is useful.
how cruel of you to oppress and suppress the members' desire to flaunt their seniority and spamming capabilities on an internet forum. I'm sure you are violating some international conventions in this.

I'm complaining to those human rights activists. prepare for the visit of UN inspectors to this forum.

Nothing wrong with that. Its our basic instinct whether offline or on the net.

I have been meaning to write a detailed thread on this topic but cannot find time. Will most likely do it by tomorrow.
