Too many restrictions, criminalization is such a severe move.
They really want to cash in and be the sole benefactors of the crypto ride.

It doesn't even seem like the government benefits though? Unless they're planning to create their own currency like China, but I haven't heard anything about that.

By sole benefactors I meant that they want to regulate crypto as well which will defeat its purpose but they will be able to control the flow.
I won't be surprised if they do decide on creating their own currency.

Wasn't there some talk about an RBI Coin a couple of months ago. RBI Coin Economic Times Article


Also there is talk about the Fed Coin that i am hearing. What do you guys think about these coins coming out which are backed by the Central Banks. Would it impact the whole Crypto scene or not ? Fed Coin

Does it even matter for India? Remember the prices of GPU when it crashed to 30k and below? It was nowhere close to MSRP, prices aren't going down anytime soon in India. Unless it crashes again to 30k I don't think we're gonna get any meaningful discount.
