amazon refund money - how to use it?

sorry for this noob question, this is my first refund in entire amazon shopping history.

purchased UPS battery, but it looks they damaged it in transit (acid is leaking, dont want to risk connecting to my UPS and im going to dispose it off).
Amazon was unable to send replacement, and now they have refunded the money in my amazon account.

I have lined up few COD deliveries, can i use that money making payment for those ? or it will be only able to use while making new purchases ?
 
You cannot convert COD to prepaid. What you can do is ask them to refund to source. Other option is to use the balance for relevant gift cards.
 
You can use it to buy things from amazon or you can pay bills using it. (Electricity, mobile recharge, broadband, LPG refill, DTH, Ticket booking etc)

At the time of canceling you selected the money to be refunded in Amazon pay balance you get both option Amazon pay or bank account.


Amazon pay balance can be used for purchases or bill payments on Amazon.
 
Iirc, payment made through Cod is always transferred to Amazon Pay account. Atleast that was the case back in 2017. Dunno if their policies have changed since then.
