I did not know about this criticizm. I started playing the game and got really bored after a total of 3-4 hours. All I was doing was going from point A to point B and everything of note happened during cutscenes. No action or puzzle solving elements. I was hoping it would improve later and was yet to uninstall thinking I'll give it another try. But now that I know this, I think I'll give it a pass.

It was director's cut and a lot people got it before the servers ****ed up. Think it wasn't supposted to be so Epic games reverted it.

If you can look past the time consumed in travelling it's a great game with an exceptional story.
My main problem was that there's very little for me to do. I just don't think it's my kind of a game.

DUDE... DS is a HIDEO KOJIMA Game... and You said you played 3to4 hrs. Out of this.. You watched a 2.5 hrs movie... You only played like an hour or so.
Now It's fine if you don't like it... But believe me... this is really an awesome game.
--> Initially ( Around 4to5 hrs of gameplay... it's a walking simulator. ( Too slow in the beginning ).
--> Then it turns into a horror game.
--> Then you will drive a lot. ( Driving game ).
--> Then it turns into SOLID SNAKE Shooter..!
--> Then you will have to solve puzzles.. along with resource management. ( SURVIVAL Game ).
--> INSANE Storyline..!
--> Most Important.. You can do "SUSU" on some enemies to defeat them and keep them away..!
If you want to increase pace of the game.. PLAY ONLINE.
Still.. It's just my opinion. This is a game to be played in a relaxed mood on a couch just enjoying the awesome soundtrack... breathtaking environments... and stupidly insane story..!.

Lol.. Maybe I'll give it another try sometime in future then. I have it on EPIC now, so not going anywhere, even if my game pass expires.
