^Yup, that should do it. The data will be written in raw format and can be read the same way. What ever you do do not use any delimited file to write simple text. You can even try to encrypt the password for additional security.

I have used Restoration in the past Restoration Freeware download and review - file undelete utility from SnapFiles Its light and free and works well.

^Well I started out with MySQL and then later moved on to Oracle. You can try MySQL though, its open and free. And lot less lighter than Oracle. Not sure about access though.

1. Download ARToolKit 2. Take a print out of the markers. 3. Install .NET 4. Run any sample project. And try to place various markers in front of the camera, see the effects. 5. Open the code, read the documentation and edit the code as per your requirement.

^I have worked previously with ARToolKit (Augmented reality toolkit) and it works really well. You have to trigger the events by changing the code in .NET. I dont remember much though, but the documentation is really good.

Well you are planning to keep track of dates of all orders right? If so then viewing reports by duration should not be hard at all. And it should not be very bulky. I suggest you implement the core first (your idea) then if you have time move on for additional features.

I would suggest adding more reports. Like number of packages sent in past 1, 7 or 30 days, lost shipments, shipments which have not been delivered for a long time etc. Such this are normally useful in terms of business.

I use Outlook 2007 and its integration with other Office applications is brilliant. Outlook 07 gets my vote.

I can say for java alone. Complete reference is pretty good book. Java 2 was the newer version of Java after 1.6 (I think).
