Use quicksettings from market. That's what I use and it's very convenient.

Lol, sorry my bad. I wasn't too clear. As a rule (which can be broken, depending on what you're trying to convey), a foreground out of focus is avoided. Eyes like to move in the frame from one focus point to the out of focus areas and then out of frame. A frame consists of Foreground, Subject...

Pappu, Interesting use of lines, just a small suggestion though, a fg blur, if not managed properly can be distracting. Since there's no subject in the frame to lock the eyes on, they usually set on the OOF fg and hence cause a bit of uneasiness. I know the photo demonstrates the processing...

And for question 3, it's very difficult to find out what changes have been done unless you get the history files with the RAW file.

The prices on the internet are only MSRPs and haven't seen "official prices" as yet :P. And I am yet to convince myself to buy a zoom, so yeah, kind of a long shot :).

Not quite. Unless there's something that has changed radically (and if it would matter to me), I'd still go with the FZ35, as prices will start going down as the FZ40 has been released. Also, newer may not mean better.

In case of a new body, yes, the canon camp hasn't had a great year. But in terms of lenses, 70-300L, 8-15 etc. have made the campers happy, me included ;).

Very nice :). I hope someday I make enough money to buy a CZ 100mm MP. It's the best macro lens I have ever seen. Sure, will give it a shot later in the day. Don't have PS installed here :(.
