I had to really turn down the bass on the Kalis. It has more bass than those 2.1s and it feels in the chest.

Thing is simple entry level 2.0 studio monitors can sound better than typical 2.1 "Pc speakers"

Convenience and aesthetics above everything else sadly! @JMak I will recommend entry level studio monitors. Mackie/PreSonus/JBL.
