It's mostly the bitter experiences which get posted online but this one has a happy ending.
After being forced for an upgrade a few months back after my old motherboard died, I was still holding on to my GTX 970 playing the waiting game. Last month I found a decent deal for MSI RTX 3070 Gaming Z...
Bit of an update on the situation.
I went for the repackaged AsRock B150 motherboard from TPS tech and got it last weekend, but I could not get it to post or get any display out of it. The fans would spin for like five seconds and it stops, then it spins again and keeps on spinning without any...
Thanks a ton for sharing this!
This actually looks like a very good option especially considering that the repacked board comes with a 3 year warranty. I still had considered getting the board fixed, but a friend of mine kept on having issues with his board after doing out of warranty repairs...
So last Saturday my PC just went off and it looks like there is a deadshort on the Motherboard. The fans spin for a second and stops and it keeps looping. I had a 6th Gen i7 and my board is past it's warranty, had even got it fixed once during the warranty period. Since a friend of mine had some...
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
After going through all of your comments I think I'll hold on for now and see how the 3000 series does, there's no point in rushing and risking it. 970 is still okay and can still definitly work on for a bit longer.
If I'm doing this then I should do it...
At the moment what I'm concerned about the most is Apex Legends I guess, and I think these should be able to handle it. But yeah would prefer the card to be future proofy.
Now I'm kinda swaying towards 2070 but most of the 2070S I see are listed on the 50k area, that's a real bump on the budget.
Forgot to mention that 144fps stable is more of a requirement for multiplayer titles, and I dont really mind dropping down graphics quality for those.
2060S seems to have very close performance to 2070, that's why I had been thinking about going for it.
3000 series is not coming out very soon...
A while back I had purchased a 144hz monitor, and I'm totally loving it but on certain games I'm not able to take advantage of it fully as my system is not pumping out required FPS always. I do not plan to upgrade CPU or any other component anytime soon.
I'm thinking about going for RTX 2060...
Okay, a bit of a latepost but I ended up going for BenQ-XL2411P.
The monitor is pretty good but coming from an IPS panel initially I was kinda disappointed with the colors, but calibrating the monitor did make a significant difference. Now, after a couple of months of use I have to say it kinda...
Kind of a bump, I had sort of dropped the plan to get a 144hz monitor back then but now I'm thinking about it again.
I almost made my mind to get the BenQ-XL2411P

but is the model very dated? are there better options in...
