A standard soldering iron should work imo. Leaded 63/37 solder that melts at a low temp (~200C) and a fine solder tip will make your job easier. Just mix the solder in with the factory one, and it should melt quickly, which you can remove with a wick. As for the wires, get the silicone-insulated...
