Update: Installed a PCI USB card to my 915 MB and routed my USB DAC to them, bypassing the default USB drives. I played CD from pc drive for a long time, NO crackling or white noise at any intervals, what a relief. So, indeed, the USB in my 915G chipset is the culprit!

Where can I buy the PCI USB card in Chennai or any online?
