I guess I have ended up answering my own question. No this series of Vaio do not come with Switchable graphics. As a note, there are some HP models that do come with switchable gfx.

Can someone with similar models please post some info.

When I read about details of the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 on the ATI website, they mentioned that it has "Switchable graphics". Can anyone of the owners of SONY VAIO VPCEB14EN confirm on this. I am not sure whether the graphics can be switched from the Bios, or if it can be done on demand...

Can you tell me about the switchable graphics of ATI 5470. How does this work and how much more battery life will it give when switched to the intel chipset. Any further info on this will be very useful.
