No idea if it is SATA1 or 2. Its 7200.9 if tat helps. HDD working or not does not make a diff cos either way with nothing connected i don see POST / Display. Yes old IDE 40 GB works if connected to a diff comp.

Not sure if i can find an other AMD guy here. Lets see. Seems like an Upgd to AMD X2 wud solve the prob. This mobo and proc is anyways 2 yrs old. No harm scrapping it. Thanks anyway.

And yes, i tried a new battery too. No diff at all.

Is thr a way to confirm if the mobo's gone ? Cos PSU if perfect and so are the voltages.

Dude i tried all that. CPU fan does rotate. I removed the mobo yesterday dusted it using a brush. Ran it with & w/o RAM. No POST / BOOT still. Weird part is i dont get beeps when i try to boot w/o RAM installed. FYI : I connected my HDD to an other comp, it worked FINE.

All fans are working. I can hear the HDD"s. To add to this, i used a volt meter to check the voltages which again were fine.

Hi, 1. Yes i do not see any display. 2. I have onboard and an AGP Card. I reset the BIOS, removed the AGP card and connected monitor to my onboard. Situation did not change much.
