Selling Stolen Products in Market section

See the way JAK portrait this situation shows Ganesh somehow selling stolen stuff bought from online stores, So if we have Details of the sellers hikvision sold the drives we can reach them with the serial number and can ask them what happen to those drives. It's quite possible they were bought online and later ganesh raised the claim for not receiving them and got the money back and the drives and later he sold the drives here.

But why would JAK want to hide this is he in the same boat he is doing the same thing with the sellers online?
I understood only the Ganesh part.
As for the S/N I just noticed that Ganesh hid them from his sale threads. I guess he was taking precautions in order to not be investigated/caught.
Anyway you can ask for the S/N of the two drives Jak bought from Ganesh. You can do the rest yourself yes? Like asking the distributor what happened to those drives or to which city they sold them. But like I said you will never get the personal details of the customer though. Its absolutely not worth for them from a legal perspective. So it will all be a moot point without the court order.

In any case, I've now seen multiple people here say that they don't really care about the source as long as they get stuff cheap.
This one. I totally agree. If you look at Ganesh HDD thread many of his old customers also pretty much vouched and defended him and I don't think that any of them questioned the sources. Why? Because they got a "good" deal. No questions asked. The end. Everyone forgets and happily went about their way. I personally have never vouched for anyone.

And oh guys, FYI I don't think that Ganesh is the only one pulling this crap. There may be more. They just haven't been caught. And after this incident they might take more precautionary measures. :p

@rkkaranrk, Not even once have you said anything in this thread about Ganesh selling over 100 items without any invoice... Absolutely nothing. Most people here have atleast raised an eyebrow but you on the other hand started off on a completely different tone...

Your also appear to be indulged in some form of gst tax fraud based on your sale threads.
I have filed a complaint against you with with UP state for tax evasion and also to Income tax department.

Will follow it with a RTI to ensure you don't wriggle your way out.
Will get your last three years transactions scrutinized else will change my name.

Happy Diwali

Now ganesh and associates can continue with their allegations against me.
I'll be more then happy to reply to income tax department and Gst department but do share the complain ID/ Messages to prove it that you had raised a complain with them. Also please do share the same for ganesh complain as well I think you were the one who posted that had raised the complain.

I did asked him but he has only one reply he cannot and want to keep himself out of this mess. [emoji1787] [emoji1787]

Karan, i think you need to drop it else this will never end. He's been accused of suspicious behavior and is therefore compelled to defend himself. If you're sure you've done nothing wrong then just drop it and stop responding. Also I'm pretty sure the IT dept has better things to investigate. You and everyone else needs to chill.

@izzner dude you've said your part. If the mods are convinced all three are the same person they will ban accounts. Else you're free to carry on. But this has been going on for too long. Let's everyone take a break.

Bro chill, every department has to investigate a complaint received by them. All scams were revealed because someone complained.
I will ensure the complaint gets proper attention by filing RTI regarding the complaint.
So don't worry I have done my homework
Plz do share the details of the complaint to prove it you have done it.

Don't worry you will get the info from them .
I have nothing to loose.. let's see how much you are willing to loose..lol.. :D :D

Not much, But will do loose some of my time replying the departments, I'm not a seller also I don't do this shit buying from forum and sell online to earn my bread. Buying from my own money and selling my used products is gst fraud. Wow this is some news to me.

Relax bhai you claimed GST input in your firm name so when you are selling offbooks money doesn't go back to your firm's account...
Stuff you sold belongs to your firm so when it is sold the money should go back to your firm and you firm has to issue a gst invoice and the GST input has to be given out as GST output.

If you don't it is GST fraud you yourself has said this... ;)

Will ensure every last drop of input gst is squeezed out from you.

Chill don't explain to me.. I am nobody ...explain when the authorities come asking.

Aree bhai I'm simply asking you share the complain ID to prove u did it. Baki leave it on me how I handle it, Simple. Why are u even explaining it to me. BTW who told u the stuff I'm selling or already sold belongs to my firm ? Again assuming huh? Saste nasho ka side affect. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

same way u are suspicious about my i7 giveaway.
I posted a screenshot about the PM from the winner of the giveaway and you still didn't respond.
Else you would have said something about my reply. ;)
You appear and conveniently make a allegation and don't respond to it when I counter your allegations.
I very clearly said, my suspicious was due to your recent coincidence with GOA-ites! I'm least bothered by so called proofs. If a person is capable enough to manage multiple IDs at a time, then isn't easy peasy job to manage PMs from different IDs?

Anyways enjoy your time in TE!

You don't know anything about gst department. With the amount of frauds they are catching now a days.. I cannot even imagine what will happen to you. :D :D :D
My job is oly to inform them that I suspect a gst fraud. Investigation is their part.

Yes I knew 3 months back that you will raise this issue of me doing fake give away so I made up a fake PM trail with the winner...:D:D:D:D

Ganesh please give me something that I can digest... This even hajmola can't digest

Was this for me if yes then please do it why even reply with the same stupid reply stating you'll do this you'll do that.... What are you waiting for do it ASAP and provide us a proff that u did it or else just shut up. Simple.

Arey bhai sorry couldn't follow up on your GST fraud complaint against you due to health issues.
Just made an RTI letter to concerned gst office to wake them up.
Will post tomorrow.

Btw there is too much Masala which stands for a harassment case against some members, Someone can file first an fir then a case for threatening. [emoji23][emoji23]

I still think TE is a forum of tech enthusiastics. Not a marketplace like now dead E.
Fighting one another about iOS vs Android, Apple vs Microsoft, one headphone vs another is normal, often funny and at times sharing knowledge.
But what's this with GST, IT raids, police threats!!?
Will this forum die, if the market section is closed completely or only remained open for people with a clean track record of 5-10 years?
I have no clue about the financial aspects of an online forum, who gets paid and how etc.
But can't we all be a little more respectful to others?
Sorry, I'm a complete nobody here, but I like this forum and wish it to go back to the glory days.
The lockdown has already brought back some long lost brothers with increased activity in tech and general topic threads.
If the market section gets closed, will it reduce the traffic significantly? Can some of us donate to share some burden off the shoulders of the owners of this forum? Who is/ are the owner of this anyway?

Well some people prefer to look the other way when they see something wrong.
People like me don't.
I have raised the issue coz some people were selling new stuff in the forum without bill.
I mean stuff that's just a month old being sold without the original bill(proof of purchase)
Stolen stuff + GST fraud etc ...
Just google "GST fraud news" and you will know how many raids have been conducted and how many people arrested in last 3 months.
Some one like me complained and things came to light...
From where do you think you get the subsidy you enjoy ? Its coz of people like me who complain and force the concerned officials to act...
So just sit back and enjoy while I do the hardwork..;)

Couldn't be more true what's said in the post above. Unfortunately, people like that, who are actually concerned, are becoming rare and rarer nowadays, thus enabling the fraudsters to carry on their misdeeds and malpractices. I said before, and I repeat, the selling section rules should be strict. One must post a clear and full photo of the purchase bill/ invoice and nothing on it should be edited out except personal information. It baffles me how some people totally masks the purchasing price, I mean what's the point behind that and why on earth would you allow it? Another thing is, sellers should always be able to post full sized photo of their products, so that the buyers can download the photo and check whether the metadata is intact. I personally have faced this issue while posting stuffs for sale, had to resize the image via irfanview because the forum wouldn't let me post full sized photos. I get there is a storage issue maybe, but just charge a nominal amount from all the sellers. I would be happy to pay the price anyway.

This is where eBay rocked. ****ing miss that thing so badly I cannot even put into any words.

Yep totally agree with the points all of you are making. However it is a very tough problem to resolve without actually taking away big part of the market section. There is no easy solution

If we restrict it to just invoice based purchases, what about folks who are selling years old hardware to actually free up space for newer one. I believe majority of such people genuinely misplace the bills

We can be more creative but everything will either restrict access for new members, restrict usage for 2nd hand goods etc.

Some other ways to restrict this practice might be : allow only 1-2 sales per year of te membership, every 4th sale can be without invoice, ask the person for a letter of sale along with the sale if no invoice is there

Old hardware even a few months down old is perfectly fine as far as the seller is selling at a reasonable depreciated rate + with a valid invoice.
Issue is when we all know that the item is under warranty for 3-5yrs or even a lifetime yet the seller got no bills stating lame reasons for items recently or just procured.

Esp. for items bought just under 24-48hrs ago or few days ago with shockingly no bill/invoice etc. and silly reasons quoted that item not needed, seriously? Once is fine but the same guy posting a range of threads spanning multiple items with same lame reason..
So either he ordered them when he was drunk or his a/c was hacked or he was self-looted at some gunpoint.:tearsofjoy:
Or it surely it was acquired via unethical means for a throwaway rate and he seeking a brand new rate here earning almost 90% profit.
