We have thread on wrist watch...what about a jeans thread?
Just mention the brand, fit (number or name)
I will start with my favourite...the good old ( and super cheap) Levi's 501..don't care about the latest trend or anything..good old shrink to fit raw moderate weight denim...have a pair almost 8 year old, completely destroyed now, but extremely comfortable. IMG_20210125_175459.jpg

+1 for my favourite brand and for most comfortable fit.
bro you also revealed your size but undoubtedly it's a very healthy size for someone like you, who call himself a middle aged person.

here is mine -

I usually wear 32 waist, had to size up for the 501S ( it's slightly slimmer compared to the classic 501 and supposed to shrink) the guy in the store suggested the 34.
Yes, I'm well into 4th decade of life, not middle age, borderline old actually!!

I've moved on to Jogger Jeans and not everyone makes them. Had an Adidas Originals one which was more of a track pant than a Jeans, but the Ed Hardy one I bought next resembled more of a contemporary jeans, but definitely more comfortable.

You're a trendy and fashion forward guy, my friend..please post a picture if possible.
Italians love these types of bottom wear.
Anybody here still wearing those super skinny Levi's 510 type jeans? An ex bandmate of mine always wears super skinny jeans...even in his wedding he wore a jet black super skinnies.

Haha.. Nothing of that sort, I assure you. I just have the option of wearing comfortable and casual stuff because I don't have a traditional job. This is the exact one I have -
Ed Hardy Jogger Fit Men Blue Jeans

^ I use slub denims because they're comfortable,s soft and stretch unlike tough denims
Is 'Slub' the brand?

This is what I found in regard to 'slub denim' -
In essence slub refers to denim fabric made with indigo warp yarn which differs in thickness throughout.

But how does one find out which pieces are made from this denim and do all companies use it. Apparently, 'Slub' is also a brand.

I specifically buy rigid "rough" unwashed jeans and don't wash them for first 8-12 months ( after a single soak in the bathtub as these are mostly shrink to fit), yes they are uncomfortable for first couple of weeks, but once they break in, they tend to fit perfectly and become extremely comfortable.
Yes, pre washed jeans are far more comfortable from day 1. But they tend to last less.
Try a rigid jeans once ( size up if necessary), you may end up liking the process and the natural fades.
Will try to upload a picture of a raw jeans and after 2 years ( regular wash after first 10-12 months)

I usually wash new jeans sometimes twice before using, so it takes less break in time and becomes comfortable.
Your technique is fascinating, I think I should give it a try but what if it gets dirty or maybe some tea/coffee spills or something like that.
need to be careful I guess or ready to order a new pair and restart from day 1.

Spill is extremely common with me. I try to rinse it off locally with soap.
Biggest problem is the smell ( specially if it's hot and humid for months)
But if you put the jeans in a polythene bag and keep it in fridge overnight, believe me, that stench goes away like magic!!
My wife actually read it somewhere and taught me how to do it.IMG_20210126_201657.jpgIMG_20210126_201829.jpg
The old pair (possibly 3 year old) looked absolutely same like the newer one, and it really went through hell ( snow, rain everything in between) but still fit me like a glove.
This proper honeycomb pattern is not possible with treated jeans.
