How have your work/career experience been in this covid lockdown?

WFH is super pathetic for me due to my mnc co. bullllshit policies and one hell of a shit project.
They want us to work even on holidays and weekends and on-call still not a single penny allowance nor a leave credit.
PM me for my co. details as I cant defame them in public..

My wife lost her job during pandemic hence hanging here in out of helplessness... just for that salary figs.

Its altogether a greatest ever torture going on..

Co. is reimbursing internet bill as well out of our own salaries..

Lot of loss in business (coconut farming but many coconuts spoiled due to non availability of transport during covid + no demand)

but not much financial impact on me. Got covid but thankfully never required hospitilisation so not much impact there too.

business picked up ever since inter state transportation started.

Co taking internet bill out of your salary is ****ed up

Worked extremely well for me. I don't want to go back to office. I am more productive at home and still having a good time .. working and watching Netflix/browsing/gaming almost simultaneously :D
WFM has been extended till Sep 6th in my office. I made some aggressive investments in mutual funds as well after lockdown last year.

WFM any day but policies should be favorable and so the project and co.
I did wfm in one of my earlier cos. and it was a total bliss feeling for 2 yrs. Except not much growth hence had to look elsewhere..

Work from home has been a miserable experience for almost everyone in my company.
The day starts at 9 am and ends by 9 pm and is totally packed with calls, meetings, discussions etc.

During the office time we used to start at 10 and close by 7 - and those hours were interlaced with leisure, casual talks, walks etc.

Work from home also makes you feel that you are alone in the panic situation; whereas in the office you find everyone else in the same boat and feel relieved.

To be frank, more than the WFH, it is the job loss panic that is causing all this distress.

True.. we also used to start by 3:30 and end by 11p with multiple breaks in between so the stress though even at extent levels never actually hit us..
But now the co. has seriously started taking us granted with 24*7 shifts + on call +everyday stretching to 11hrs +++ what not! With no allowances/no weekend pays/ no comp offs and not even reimbursement for internet its overall a truly pathetic situation!
Everyone in the team is waiting for someone to put papers and only then they will follow... Someone have to open his innings.. but everyone is fearing job issues and sustaining purely for salary..

That's not good

Mine may sound like something out of a fairytale but it's true. WFH has been going well for me. My org already had WFH for 2 weeks a month during pre-covid times, has a fairly good work-life balance, and remained that way. Full-time WFH helps with watching my newborns grow and stay close with them.
