Budget 90k+ [URGENT] Need fellow TE'rs thoughts on this pc desk

StingU

Disciple
My dream was always to build a pc which is inbuilt in the desk itself. inspired by youtube videos i tried to build a desk myself around 7years back with small budget but it was not what i imagined

so i purchased the below lian li and importing it to india. its costing around 1.2lack. i have a way to zero the shipping and customs but i still think it is not worth 1.2lack

so i need your thoughts and ideas, is there anyway i can hire someone to build a quality and pro desk like this one for me?

please! im open for all ideas. Thanks in advance

First of all share with me the trick for this zero shipping and customs.;)

No, It's absolutely not worth the price. Yes you can hire someone if you're really interested.
It will be much cheaper hiring someone and using your own creative ideas. You can decide your own dimensions for desk + you always 've the option to customize it as per your requirements.
Can be made as wooden table with metal interiors.
As change is the law of nature, you may feel bored with it after sometime , so I think it's better to go for a custom desk + external cabinet (just my personal opinion but I can guess your excitement)

nothing imp. just have several friends who will be traveling all the time. will divide the parts and import to India

Now what i want to know is who will be building it? any company cause where i live local guys cant make it

im dam serious about it lol. cause i already made the purchase on newegg as i shown in the above ss image

I've no clue who will make it. It's easy to make custom wooden furniture and even custom steel almiras etc. but this is a typical item.
I visited the product's official page and realized it's amazing but still not worth the price quoted. Even if someone agrees for building it, I don't think it will match the finishing of the final product.
MDcomputers, smc international and acro engineering all are official distributors for Lian li in India, Ask them if they can arrange a unit for you, It may be cheaper.

These can be easily be custom made in India. Nothing out of the box or fancy about it.
I have seen this type from Foxconn I think in IT expo in Mumbai in yr 2011 or so.
In fact that time I too wanted something like that but later realized it will be a limitation constraint for me as I believe in continuous modding/fiddling with my stuff.

You need to find some pro carpenter artists which specializes in custom designs as per client choices. You can find such carpenters through contacts of pro interior designers.
In Mumbai my interior designer was one of that types. His clients were mostly high class people and his work was simply marvelous!
He even constructed a fish pool (underneath transparent flooring) in a bedroom of a duplex flat on some 14th floor. His portfolio work was as good as you can imagine from some pro in the west.

Mind you, such custom constructions comes at a premium cost as they are one of a type and rare.
The designers will then add your design to their portfolios and keep improvising and suggesting to other clients and benefit themselves! So its all money money for these guys!

contacted acro engineering and they quoted the same price as us. they will deliver it in 60days
i guess its better to buy in India as the price is same and with warranty plus safe delivery :)

If you can get the interior design, considering you want this exact design, any laser cutting guy will only take minutes to do it, if you want to build it in metal.
Personally, I would build a custom table like this in wood with the interior design according to the specs I have. It would be very easy for any skilled carpenter to make it, very very easy. Just need to have the right tools.

not only tools but also measurements. I will use the table atleast for next 20years if it has that kind of life

if only i have the measurements i could have hired someone

EGGzatly@ As said earlier, there no rocket science in it. If you are fixed and through with the design, you can drive the carpenter accordingly thus he wont get confused nor you.

As for measurements, you can find it online as dimensions are mostly mentioned and if not you can take your own judgement on existing table and adjust the measurements based on your flexible requirements.
And I'm 200% sure you will get bored of the design within 8yrs or so.

Can't find any manual or something , just basic dimensions.

I'm a bit bored (a little bit) of my desk within 2 years.

My advice is don't do it. Troubleshooting will be a pain in this
you mean cleaning and upgrading the components?

also what metal should i use to make the rest of the table? any thoughts. the local said SS but i cant paint it to black he says so he suggested steel coated iron

wood wont do it as it tends to bend after some time due to total weight of pc and 60inch tv :(

so i need a metal which is in light weight that can be painted and also strong AF. don't say Adamantium :p
