I'm looking to trade this Haswell Refresh Intel Core i5-4590 as it's incompatible with the Intel DH87MC motherboard that I intended it for. The B85/H87/Z87 chipsets were the last ones that Intel manufactured motherboards for the Haswell generation of processors. They then left the motherboard market in 2013 to focus on the NUC initiative. So while these motherboards received stability related bios updates until 2018, they never received official support for Haswell Refresh processors. This processor tested fine in other Z97 systems that I have access to, with all 4 memory slots of 32gb being detected and passing memtest.

Ideally, I would like to trade this for a Core i5-4570 with no extra cash, inclusive of shipping. You'll get a marginal performance bump (3% or 100MHz) and I get compatibility with my motherboard.

But I am also open to a trade for a Core i5-3570 + Rs 1000 cash, or a Core i5-3470 + Rs 1500 cash. Or any 3rd/4th generation Xeon without hyperthreading + Rs 1250 cash.

Or you could just buy the processor outright for Rs 4575.

Seven days testing warranty.

I have a i5-4440, but it's being used as my daily driver. So I'll have to swap my CPU on a Saturday before I can ship it.
Not looking to to exchange cash other than the collateral for your CPU though - 5% improvement is not worth much.

PM me if interested.

I'm interested. Let's do this.

Still available.

Hey, I'm sorry, the i5-4440 doesn't boost high enough for my use case. I'm looking for at least 3.5GHz in these generation of processors. The i5-3470 benches faster than the i5-4440 but it is barely competent compared to higher-end 4th gen i5's.

But yeah, I can ship first if anyone else is in a similar situation and need to their system running on a daily basis, I don't actually need my system to be operational until about October.

Hi, I've got a Xeon 1220v3, a bit lower clocked but with an extra 2mb of L3 cache. Should perform similar to your cpu. But I'm not looking for a trade though.

I'm withdrawing this processor from sale/trade, I was able to find a low cost motherboard locally.

To whomever this information may be useful, a B85 motherboard with four memory slots sells for under 3500 these days, and a H81 motherboard with two memory slots sells for under 2500, both with a 30 day warranty from refurbishing dealers. H97/Z97 still command a premium at around 5k because they're the last high end boards that can take DDR3 memory. Z97 boards are priced higher than Z170 or Z270 at these dealers.
