Tablet Battery what is White, Red, Black cable, can we connect charge cable direct to motherboard

Hello

What are the white, red and black cable on tablet pc battery,

If battery is dead and we want to power the device directly from the charger, can we just connect the cable to motherboard/logic board on tablet, to power on the device.

or do we need some resistor/capasitor/circuit etc in between.

can we just use any 2amp 5V charger on tablet and power on the device, what is the use of white cable, can we skip connecting that ?

here is a picture for sample.

I want to keep the usb port free for otg and send power from battery socket..

Thanks

U need 3.7v to power up the tablet motherboard but if u are using a usb charger which is 5v, in this case the 5v has to stepped down to 3.7v elese u will fry your motherboard. In this case a voltage regulator/ buck converter will help you step down 5v to 3.7v. that step down converter is the extra circuit module u can buy in local electronics Store. Don't try to power up the motherboard without that module. Then kaboom !

Btw the white wire is for temperature sensor present in your battery. in ur terms U can simply power up the board using red and black. White is not needed

I will go to kaming ton road to see if I can find any circuit that step down 5v to 3.7

Do you have any pictures how it looks..

Also will there be any problem on connecting org hub and using three USB device with it, if the power is stepped down to 3.7... Will the system provide enough power to motherboard and usb

U have to experiment with the hub and things in otg. I have no idea on it.
Jus Google search "LM2596 module" and see how to adjust the voltage output in youtube

ok, so i searched for that module and it looks like this

LM2596.JPG

what i understand is that,

1) i will connect the charger black and red cable in input
2) i will buck down the output voltage to 3.7
3) will check with Multimeter the output to 3.7
4) connect output + and - to motherboard, where battery was connected

Please correct me if wrong,

Also i think all battery has inbuilt circuit , can i use that

Inbuilt circuit will not step down. Also that is for charging the battery.

The above 4 steps are correct and u can proceed

I am out of my home town.. emergency travel..

Will do this setup when back at home.

Also is there any way I can add extra usb ports to this motherboard.. is there any usb extension board also
Also before buying this buck down circuit how can I know how much is required for motherboard to work

Try connecting usb hub through otg and check your requirements.

So if I use a buck down converter and set a voltage for motherboard, and later if power requirements increases, will it automatically increase the power output ..

Say.. if I set it to output 3.7 v and later when I connect keyboard, mouse, pen drive etc.. will it output more voltage to accommodate

yes

well, what if i do not remove the battery and just add the TP4056 module additionally directly to the red and black

so that other usb is free?

Will that work

also TP4056 is 1A max, can i connect 2A charger to it, will that work or harm the system ?

is ur battery good or dead ?

Battery is good..

Screen is broken, so I want to use it as computrr but it has only one micro usb, I can not charge when using otg and wise versa..

I want to free up the micro usb so I can use it as otg hub and provide power and charging from otherway

I don't know how that works. May be u should trial and see. How it works. ! What I guided is for powering the tablet without battery , directly from charger with lm2596.

So this is a big hurdle...

I want to keep the power connected to the motherboard just like any normal desktop computer...

Is there any way

1 ). I keep the battery connected and also connect to power.. so it dan charge and provide power at same time...

2) I remove the battery and and provide direct to motherboard.. from where battery was connected..

Any idea how can I achiev one of this

2nd step u can do with lm2596 module.

i have purchased both TP4056 and LM2596 and i was about to use TP4056.

But then i came to know that TP4056 can not be used to charge and load at the same time, so it wont serve the purpose

I will go with LM2596

Is there any other module that can be used, instead of 4056, some thing that can charge and load at the same time with safety feature...
