Graphic Cards Nvidia FE vs AIB cards

WHy FE? Why not keep this, this is way better than fe version.

I remember reading some article somewhere that Nvidia would keep their best quality silicon for the FE cards and distribute the "not best" ones to OEMs.
Not 100% sure though so don't hold it over me.

This was true for the 10 series cards, however I think this didn't hold true for the 20 series cards; likely due to the better FE coolers.
Not sure about 30 series at all but wouldn't bank on it

Don‘t know about the third party cards but my FE is running hot. I hope this is normal. Sucking almost 350w(gpu)+100w(cpu)+50w(4k monitor).

Thats what I mentioned somewhere that FEs does run hotter than other brands hence always suggest people to ditch FE and stick to Zotacs!

FE cards do look amazing imo. The RTX 3080 in particular, looks absolutely boss. Been a fan of 'em since Maxwell. They're also generally two-slot and ideal for SFF builds.

Nah, I prefer stock settings. I did some research and upto 100-110C is under the specs for ddr6. It will only throttle after 110C. GPU is around 83C which is fine. But I don’t like the airflow of new FE card. Throwing hot air towards the(5800x) cpu. It will most probably hit the cpu boost performance during May-July(summer peak). I was also facing random pc shut down during heavy gaming. Then I realise I have to use two separate pcie power cable per 6+2 plug. Don’t use single cable. It won’t be able to handle the power during heavy load.

I'm puzzled as to why you prefer stock settings and why you're using the thermal threshold of the GDDR6X memory as a guide to whether or not your GPU is doing 'fine' with respect to temps. Undervolting should net you better performance (by allowing the GPU to boost higher) with lower GPU temps and fan noise. Lower GPU temps should also lower overall system (incl. CPU) temps given the flow-through cooler design. At 83 C, your GPU is definitely dialing back the core clock to remain within acceptable temperatures. Run a 3D Mark Port Royal benchmark with HWiNFO64 running in the background. HWiNFO will let you know if your GPU is throttling or not (my take is that it definitely is). Also, compare benchmark results pre- and post-undervolting to get a handle of much of a difference it can make.

GDDR6X memory video cards like 3070Ti/3080/3080Tis are way better in 3fan heavy cooler AIB cards vs FE models.
FE models heats a lot in Indian weather :( only exception is undervolting which is not stable always.

The FE 3090 is a killer card with that triple slot cooler. Everything else in the FE range has meh cooling.

I have a Zotac 3090. I would switch it for an FE in a heartbeat.

Yes 3090 is the only exception in FE models with GDDR6X that is why I didn't mention it :)
It's really great IMO as well :)

If you are remotely going to mine on your GPU, FE cards are the only ones you can mine on without hacks. Besides this, I don't see any upsides to FE cards, FE cards have that 12 pin power connector in a very odd position, run a bit toasty, and above all have no rgb ;) Some don't even have LEDs (3060Ti).
