Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

Dune - 3/10 Don't know why we gave such high ratings, The movie is pretty slow and boring for me. The background music that plays all the time during the movie can give headache

I loved it though. Even though its a 2.5 hour movie the story moved quickly for me.

But then again I read Dune back in school and really interested in seeing how they manage to bring the God-Emperor Leto II to screen.

Maybe you can relate to it, for me it was completely something that I never knew so didn't had any expectation. Anyways we all have our own taste

I had seen the earlier adaptation by David Lynch many eons back so this brought back some memories. I liked what Denis has visualized and wish WB gives him the go ahead and freedom for the sequel as well as adapting more of the books.

Watched Dune. Liked it. No complaints.
I went in blind not knowing of the storyline or David Lynch's version, so it was a good movie experience. Looking forward to the next one! I hate when I've to wait a few years and bide my time watching mediocre flicks before good directors like him whip out their next movies.

Watched a few movies over the past month.

Stillwater: 7/10. Fine movie with very good solo performances.
Serendipity: 9/10. What a light and relaxing movie.
The Trip (I onde dager): 8/10. Solid one.
Old: 7/10. Despite the hilaroious VFX and poor reviews, I enjoyed it. Need to shut the brain before watching.
The Green Knight: N/A. Couldn't even rate this. Found it a total BS. Shallow, pretentious type.

Watched Shang Chi and Dune recently. What I am not liking about recent movies in the last few years is how these studios are just milking these stories and trying to make 3-4 movies in what could have easily been made in one. In both Dune and Shang-Chi, felt like not a lot happened with respect to the story in the 2-2.5hrs that I spent watching the movie. Felt the same for the recent Star Wars trilogy. Maybe they should use the 'Series' format instead as seen very successfully in series like Mandalorian, Loki etc.

Oh boy, the recent Star Wars movies are big time fails except for Rogue One - I went bonkers in the cinema hall during one particular scene (you know which), not gonna spoil it for those who've not watched it yet.
