Firstly : I did not actually eat here. I was a bit late so this place was actually closed. I knocked, it was late afternoon on a particularly hot (45 deg C) day. The owner opened the door and told me he did not have any food (thali) left. I asked if I could have chass (buttermilk). He said 'of course'. Gave me one one glass. Then he and his wife noticing how I really needed that, bought me one more glass of chass. When I finished I prepared to pay for the chass, they just smiled and said 'No charge' ! Then seeing that I was really tired, I had spent the day walking around Champaner in the heat, they offered to get me a auto so that I could go to the bus stand.
People like this are incredibly rare these days. Guys, if you are in Halol or just passing thru come here - apart from being really nice people, locals swear by their food.

Wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars.

Instances like this make us realize that humanity still exists! Not that because they feed you free but the way you described they were humble and ready to offer you the best they can to beat the heat.
If they are on zomato/swiggy etc. you can write a great review cum rate them..

I doubt they are. This a small mom&pop joint operating from the hall in their house. But the locals insist 'it's like home-food'.
