Budget 71-90K Gaming Laptop or rig ?

Hi !
Looking for something under 80 to 1k. Since i am currently in gulf more incline towards a laptop since carrying a rig back home is such a pain.
What do you guys suggest. If laptop what config to look for. Not a heavy gamer but need something which could handle the newer games.
I think dell and asus seems to make some good budget gaming machines.

I dont know what is your age , but i recollect from my childhood days visiting Mumbais international airport , many people would be bringing CRT TVs from Gulf countries and mind it those were quite large

Those were also different days. Weight limits have come down. If you carry too much stuff, you can be charged a fortune.

OP, check if you can find something with international warranty if you're going to return in less than a year.

True. I have experienced it myself. But these days they have started charging sometimes even randomly for screens. The monitor box shape also attracts additional charges to be carried.

Depends on your usage, if you are moving back to India then you'll have to disassemble the whole rig and get it luggage and customs at airports can be pain sometimes.

@thedeadghost when you mean locally, you mean in India or the gulf?

If it's not from India there's barely any difference from just sourcing the parts here.

https://pcpricetracker.in/b/s/15dc5731-85fb-4d90-963b-304a75020f9b - The first config you mentioned is available here for 80k. I don't think 3k savings is worth the hassle of shipping something to India [in addition to chances of something getting damaged in transit and no warranty claimable in India]

You can use : https://pcpricetracker.in/build to compare the Indian pricing with what you're getting over there to see if there is a considerable difference.
I would honestly just grab a used GPU /new GPU from where you are [depending on how expensive/cheap it is ] and build the rest of a desktop from India.

If you plan on going the laptop route then of course, grab something from there and bring it here. Chances are it would be cheaper due to our import taxes here.

Hey RuwinX !

Thanks for your reply..

I plan to use it for a while here in the gulf like 2 years and later carry it back home.
config seems ok for the price ? Yes you are right there is always a difference of around 2k to 3k among most electronics due to customs.
Which one do you think is the best deal of the 3 ?

I have decided to go for a pc instead. Its way to hot here in summers which drastically reduces performance of laptops more over they
are just not upgrade friendly with costly parts.

Thanks

@thedeadghost - need to understand your exact use case first before we make recommendations.

What do you mostly do with your computer? What kind of games do you play? You mentioned you're not a heavy gamer. So does that mean you're okay with playing older titles? Or do you want to play all the latest gen stuff with lower settings?

What resolution do you want. Full HD or 1440p? Does high refresh rate matter to you? For playing games or just in general?

Mostly used by child. mostly plays old train simulators. but don't want to feel left out you know how fast games are getting resource hungry.
not really into the latest stuff but i guess something which could last atleast 2 to 3 years.

thanks so much.

I'll be honest, from your use case and the games you're mentioning, any of the configs you've mentioned seem okay. I'm not liking the brand selection of parts they have. Especially for the power supply. I would suggest a more well known brand, like corsair/evga if possible.

If I had to pick one of these, I would take the second config.
