Need suggestions for a water purifier

Do not go with what internet is buying. We are using Kent in Bangalore and it just works. It has been 9 years and we have not changed the model itself. 5 years ago, looking at how good kent is, we made our parents buy Kent purifier when they wanted to buy one. They wanted to go with LG or Aqua guard as those who are using locally prefer those. How wrong we were. The service of Kent was so bad that mom had spend 3x the cost of the purifier in 5 years. Every time there will be some or other issue (electrical, flow issues, water leaking from tank and what not).

We finally decided to ditch that and now went with LG.

Talk to those who are using purifiers in your locality and buy good model from brand that has good service coverage. Do not go with glittery features like copper infusion etc.

Which LG model are you using? How is the yearly maintenance cost like?

some where I read that RO water Purifiers eliminate certain things from water that are good & ACUTALY NEED for GOOD health... (don't know true/false)

I'd like to know about maintenance costs too

It's false, RO removes minerals which are anyway covered by a balanced diet. Water alone isn't nowhere close enough to cover those minerals RDA so it's negligible i think.

Have you considered buying generic water purifier? All purifiers are the same at the end its just the branding and after service, if you chose a non-branded one you can get complete installation for around 5-6k and after service you can get any person to do it without the need for subscription

I am considering local brands. Right now it is either a drinkprime subscription or a local purifier.

I had Kent Purifier w/o RO system that itself costed me around 10k and there was additional chargers like monthly/yearly servicing and replacement which was quite expensive.

Did some research and bought one locally from nearby shop so if anything breaks he comes for servicing and gets done without any subscription.

This video might help
