As the title says, I need to convert a dynamic disk to a basic disk without losing the data.
The original computer inside which this disk was present is no more and i have important data that I need from it.
Any advise or help is welcome.
I did try the EaseUS Partition Master (Disk Converter option) but it could not do it.
On the new machine, the disk comes up as invalid for me to perform any operation on it.

Windows Diskpart utility can do it without data loss but not very sure on it.
You can use EaseUS Partition Master utility to do it risk-free!

the windows utility pops up a warning saying it will erase all data.
The EaseUS Partition Master (Disk Converter option) was already tried and it gave an error and could not do it.
The issue is the Disk has 4 partitions thinking this may be a reason for it.

taking a backup of the disk first and then attempting this, not feasible?
ok this seems to be working, but minitool partition manager is behind a pay way (the best that showed the full file structure allowing me to choose my important directories to recover).
EasUS is allowing only 500MB and not showing the full content*(again behind a pay wayy).

Any free alternatives to the minitool partition ?
You can use Stellar to convert from Dynamic to basic disk
did not work, the disk is coming up as invalid windows disk management tool and not showing up in the stellar software.
if i can recover my important files then i am good to go, any way to do this?

download and install macrium reflect free edition. during setup DONT opt for a personal license (which requires you to register your installation). proceed to just create an image of your hdd after installation (dont opt for cloning, as you just want the data, not migration of the whole file-structure). save the image somewhere in the pc on which you're doing this procedure. thats it. should be doable. later on create basic disk using any of the methods mentioned in the earlier posts. later on from this image, recover whichever data you want to.

Hey guys, thank you so much, was able to recover all my important data using miniTool partition wizard itself(thank you @burntwingzZz).
Currently recovering the other not-so-important data, thank you guys means so much. Was able to recover videos of my grandparents who are no more.

Thank you so much, everyone, means a lot, especially @nRiTeCh for the idea of recovery instead of converting the disk from dynamic to basic.
