Reason for Sale
Upgraded to another model
Selling my Alienware AW3420DW monitor as I upgraded to the OLED model. It was purchased on 16th March 2021 and comes with a 3year warranty. The original box will be provided and the monitor will be packed inside. Please note that I am only going to be giving the power cable that comes with the monitor, no other cables (HDMI or Display Port) or accessories are provided.

There are zero problems with the monitor, it is in excellent cosmetic condition and no dead pixels are present or visible to the best of my knowledge, I have checked thoroughly. Not looking to ship this as it will be expensive, unless the buyer is willing to pay the amount and take the risk. Prefer a local sale in Mumbai. You can message me and arrange a meeting to see it for yourself before deciding if you wish.

I first upgraded to the Acer Predator X35 and then AW3423DW. I will also be listing the predator X35 for sale separately when I get around to connecting it and taking photos as required.
What was wrong with predator x35 ?? It’s 200hz and 2ms while Alienware is 175hz

Almost non-existent response times.
Perfect blacks. And with latest gen OLEDs, excellent brights. OLED is in a league of it's own. You have to experience it once to understand the hype.
But it also has some flickering and burn in issues , had a LG TV that i was using as a monitor started showing burn in on top right corner within a year had to re purpose it as a TV in the end.
there is a reason why OLED monitors are almost non existent or exist at very high end where they cost more than TV itself.

i think new generation of mini led panels will be the best middle ground for gaming monitors.

Really don’t like the hassle of “use with utter care/caution“ with OLEDs with only 3yrs warranty(life insurance). Instead love the mini led TV and iPad Pro I have. Most probably will pick Odyssey G70B mini led monitor as well once it’s available. Instead keep this as a backup. It will serve you far longer than QD/OLED display. Why you’re letting it go at such a low price?

Having used both monitors (Acer Predator x35 and the Alienware QD-OLED), I can say that they both have their pros and cons. If money is not an issue, and you're willing to risk buying an OLED with a possibility of burn in down the road, then the OLED definitely is the way to go as it gives you the best contrast ratio and response time. If you want to save on money or not risk burn in, the acer x35 is the next best option. Definite drop off in contrast ratio and the overall wow factor after using the QD OLED, but for gaming the x35 is still fantastic. I still haven't gotten around to listing it for sale on here, might just wait for this monitor to sell first.

Free bump and congratulations on the AW3423DW!
I absolutely love mine, and downgrading from 4K seemed odd at first but I've gotten used to it now - the contrast and brightness levels are off the charts and the color is yummy.

Hey, which model of OLED has this burn in problem?. I just bought a 42 inch C2 to be used as a PC monitor. I heard the current Gen EVO panels are very resilient to burn in and LG also gave a 3 year warranty for further peace of mind.

Any OLED will eventually suffer a burn because they’re “organic” in nature. It can’t compete with conventional LEDs life span. If you use your display for long hrs every single day and don’t want to spend lakhs on TV/monitor after every few years, then avoid OLED screens. But If money is not an issue. Then it’s a no brainier, get an OLED.

I Agree. The life span of even current gen OLED's are not going to be great and can never compete with an LCD. But they should've drastically improved since the first generation OLED's as the process and technology matured. I've decided not to baby sit my C2 and use it the way a monitor should be used. If I get 5 years out of it without any burn in, OLED has already won for me. I can still push it for a few more years, If the burn in is slight.

But at some point Burn in is going to happen, And i'm not going to be surprised.
