ASUS VIVO BOOK 15 (2020) X-515MA-BR002T with 4GB RAM & 256GB SSD

My wife has this laptop with 4GB RAM Only & It's very slow (Win 11) when multiple tabs are opened.
I wish to upgrade the RAM but am confused as ASUS on its website says - maximum is 8GB only (of which 4GB is soldered already)!

Google results show that I can add upto 16GB (for a total of 20GB max capacity) - Is this correct?

I do not wish to buy 16GB if it's not compatible & I may not be able to return it too.
I found this (will it be compatible with the 4GB Hynix Soldered RAM
Crucial Basics 16GB DDR4 1.2v 2666Mhz CL19 SODIMM RAM ..... Rs 3532 on Amazon
or any other better quality (G.Skill) but affordable.

Later SSD Upgrade M.2 - Does it have a slot? Max Capacity ?

CPU-Z specs attached

8gb max per slot (up to 2400 MT/s) so 4gb soldered + 8gb in slot.

Edit: i noticed that your ram is running at 2666MT/s. Better buy that same clock speed ram. If you have doubt of max amount of memory support, then see if there is any local hardware shop or person who has 8 and 16gb sticks with them and test it out. You may end up spending more but you will get peace of mind.

Thanks @6pack - been a long looong while since we re-connected.
The option you suggested is probably possible but yeah will end up spending more.

I have one other option too - write to asus support or support@tpstech.in - for advice ONLY since there is an additional warranty taken.
It has been frustrating trying to locate the actual Product Manual for this Laptop as Asus on its website has ALL the Worlds Languages BUT English!!!

I would say there is no point upgrading the ram of the laptop to say 16gigs so a stick of 8 gig should suffice at max. In my opinion an upgrade to a total of 8gb should work. Any more than that would be a bit overkill for the processor.

As @sameep_s said .. 8 GB is more than enough. Go to any reputed shop they will set it up for you. Its Your CPU which will be the bottleneck here eventually after the 4GB Ram upgrade.
You can use Brave for inbuild ad blockers or firefox for better memory usage.
Ram mismatch is a big issue. So consider your options wisely.
