Rate the Last Movie You Saw...

The Bullet Train (2022) - Netflix - Solid 8 for me. Full On Popcorn Flick! Just what I expected going in. Chaotically entertaining! The dialogue banter was funny and quirky.

The best part is it's a film that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a blast of fun which I would've watched only for ever endearing Brad Pitt anyways.

Tangerine and Oranges! :p

Monica, O My Darling on Netflix. 7/10
Only watched it for Rajkummar and was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining it was. A bit of Andhadhun vibe. Neo-noir with a great score. It uses its music/score fantastically well without it being a hindrance to story telling (which i absolutely hate in most Indian movies).

Kantara is now out on Prime!

It seems they had to chnage climax or background score for it!

People seem to be unhappy and some even say soul has gone from climax! :wondering:
I watched in theatre last week, and they played the original. Saw it on ott yesterday, yes they changed the song. The original had the right kick and punch, the changed one sadly is very mediocre and doesn't give the right feel.

Don't worry darling. 7/10. Pretty decent. Movie nailed the feeling and atmosphere of "Something's not right. It's just too perfect."

I want to, but Dark was just an information overload. The rainy setting was fire though.
After a few episodes, Dark felt tougher to understand than my text books.

How is 1899 ? Anybody watched it?
It is ok.
Think idiot box version of Inception.
Repetitive after a few episodes. Too many unanswered questions, obviously to set up the next season but still you can sort of predict the climax. 6/10 from me.
PS : These really belong to the TV series thread.

Am I the only one here who thinks the OTT version of Kantara is shitty AF !! I'm not talking about the new song or the movie ( It's a masterpiece and nothing to take away that fact)

I'm talking about the shitty mastering (or the lack there of) done by Amazon guys ( or whomsoever is responsible for that to be on Prime) and the compression they've done to save the bandwidth !! They've butchered it,Mothered it :banghead::banghead::banghead:.

If you watch it on a large screen TV ( or on projector with large screen) in a proper Home Theater system environment you'll immediately notice the noisy picture (even in their so called 4K UHD) and the Audio is just lackluster at best,Severely deprived of it's grunt and the thunder ! It's a travesty to say the least that the movie of this epic proportion is reduced to a mere.... just so that they can conserve some bandwidth and please those who watch stuff on their mobiles !!

The Original theatrical experience is something else especially if you've watched it in a proper cinema hall !

I'm looking forward to the Netflix version of the same that was released today, Wanting to see how it fares compared to the Prime one ( Not keeping high hopes though )

This is a movie that deserves the Blu-ray treatment with high quality proper 4K master with DTS Master HD audio presented in 7.1 Channel !

Who all agree to the above ??
