AM5 and Ryzen 7000 News

Let's wait for reviews & prices. IMO R7 7700 seems like a competitive option for gamers who want some upgrade headroom for the future.

I just bought a 5800x3d today.
Good decision. You had an AM4 build already I assume and it's the right choice to go for the fastest CPU on that.
AM5 would require a new build, will be way costlier. There's nothing to feel bad about.

5800X3D is at par or better than all 7000 (non 3D) series CPUs.

i mailed few shops and AMD distributor in my city ... shop guys dont know anything ... the distributor didnt care to reply ...
then asked online store MD Computers ... they said they dont hv it and check other available alternatives.

AMD generally has low priority for India, always products are badly priced at launch vs US relative pricing. So maybe they are keeping production low (due to low demand) and selling these at developed countries with higher demand. Just my speculation.
i guess overall production of non-x is low ... in my opinion in India non-x will be available by Jan end or with X3D release.

I mean if MD has no clue, definitely other sellers have no clue.

Anyways, for budget users, AMD R5 7600 changes nothing, still not worth buying IMO because of platform cost, R5 5600 is enough for budget gamers. For high-end gamers, waiting for X3D is the sensible option.

my present system is 10yrs old that's why I'm going with R7 7700 ... was excited for the new build but AMD ne mere irado pe pani pher diya :D

Ryzen 7000 3D chips were given a release date, 14th Feb 2023, which has been removed since then. They claim better performance and I don't doubt them considering 5800X 3D was really nice in gaming but not as good in productivity. Ryzen 7000 non-X lineup was set to release in mid January though I haven't check prices in our country. They seem nice, with lower TDP and lower clock albeit by a few MHz. Article - https://www.pcguide.com/cpu/ryzen-7000-non-x-series/
LTT review on these -

Does anyone know why are Ryzen 7000 non-X CPUs still not available here in India.
First retailer got some pricing. You can only laugh at prices like this. :p
