What? I'm not Xioran myself!!
But I know him for a loooong time. This particular photograph was taken by Xioran (possibly the Christmas vacation 2021) at our first floor guest room @ Praha and remained covered with some sheets since then. This particular photo was in my google photos as he forwarded it to me.
We were out of Praha for a long time and my wife was nagging to move those to the basement which is crammed already with recording gears.
Please feel free to email Xio for further clarification or contact him at head fi to verify the ownership of the headphones and the fake mini DSP headphone stand ( or DM me for his contact number)
I'm a 100 percent Indian person by origin and now live in and a citizen of Czech Republic (close to Veřejné ohniště - Krčský les, Praha)
And yes, I finished MBBS (Kolkata),MD(Gen. Medicine CMC, Kolkata, Community medicine AIIMS New Delhi), MPH( AIIH&PH) and PhD(ICMR) in public health from India and still registered with West Bengal Medical Council.

Yes, they have multiple mini DSP ears but not that one...look closely, you will spot the difference with a genuine one.
If you really are that interested DM me your number, I will DM mine and Xioran and we can have a nice discussion.
Yes, they are opening a startup with headphone sensors etc. and I don't even know anything about it.
Oh! BTW he can't remember replying to any email while speaking to me 2 minutes ago.
Still have problems, when I get time I will post photos of all those headphones with my dogs and the DSP ears of course.
Either speak to both to Xioran and me together over a conference / Zoom/ Whatever, clear things up...or stop harassing me by posting rubbish.

I'm still waiting for your phone call ( DM'ed my number) or message. I will take Xioran in conference and clear this small issue. But neither of us have a lot of time to waste. We will wait for one hour. If you can't/ won't call... Don't try this kind of shit again.
It's close to 7:30 in the morning in India and people usually wake up by 8. Here it's 4 in the morning, Xioran's evening.
This is my last post about this matter. Call us (or gimme a missed call, I will call you back) and clear the thing, if you can't.. don't try this again. You're messing with the absolutely wrong person.

His mail is crystal clear that he does not know you. Copy of the mail shared internally with the TE staff too, they will be happy to verify. No need to keep bluffing, its just a forum.

reading this thread as a very single early-mid 20 something makes me shudder. Two-three or four years from now my gaming/electornics etc room will be sacrificed too especially given how crammed housing is in a certain large city of india.

Simply because I was no way involved in his project. I'm not a techie/ engineer. The photograph was not planned for that paper. He found it astonishing that I've collected and still had so many headphones after giving away almost two third of the original collection.
In fact I only knew he was working on some audio encryption stuff.
He's just a kid who just completed PhD possibly a year or two back. As far as I can remember, he was very much interested in the heavily modded Fostex cans ( from Zeos Pantera)
He himself is an audiophile and has many headphones himself. He only took a modded Fostex and and an old Beyer from me and returned the Fostex ( T50RP)
 
Mine is tiny( literally) so i was able to slip it under the radar both from a looks and budget perspective. Ryzen 3 tiny pc with vega 8 igp bought for 14k and hardware upgrades done one month at a time (Ram and SSD). Works for my because i tend to buy my games 10 years later when they go on sale on steam. Currently playing crysis remastered trilogy

I think with you, my green brother, the issue is not so much with pc as with audio. I’m quite sure .

After ten years of marriage, I’m about to introduce a sff. In case I don’t post anymore, you’ll know how that went

Very much. My wife used to be pretty liberal, but now my parents house is unliveable because both my and my sister's room is crammed with equipment and audio CDs and records that the dust was making the kids sick. then she had enough and drew the line saying enough is enough, anything comes, something has to go out :D
 
My setup has a desktop and Xbox series S for the play and one or two laptops for the Work. All of these been crammed into a WFH setup and Xbox is hidden behind the monitor.

I took a wierd decision of mounting the Desktop tower under the desk using a contraption which looks like a rigid swing. This saves me the space and unwanted attention from both kids and wife.

All of these connected to a monitor and I switch the input based on the needs.
 
My wife is usually liberal, but nowadays situation has changed. The moment I am not on the chair, my son sneaks into my room, climbs the chair and immediately does something.
I have to keep my entire setup in a different room and have to lock it most of the time :( :p :D
