Meet ChatGPT (Artificial Intelligence), good alternative to Google?

I saw this coming from a mile away,IIRC Sam altman himself said that server costs are insanely high and they were looking onto adding monetization in the very start of it's release.

The question is when,though?

Now is the time we need to put a big full stop on the unchecked commercial utilisation of the AI. Companies do such things all the time to protect their interests. Why it cannot be done to protect jobs? Elon once said that we need universal basic income in future because everything will be done by AI. These billionaires want to eat everything and want us to be happy because we are allowed to exist and breathe. In digital art, these AI's are literally stealing art from other artists and presenting it as AI art. I don't want a future where an AI will do everything. I want a reverse trend where every job is treated important and small jobs are revived again. The current business model of automation and AI is not feasible and it will collapse. Who will buy the product if there are less and less jobs. Software companies are totally dependent on ads and other companies who sell physical products. Who will buy these products if there aren't any jobs ?
Be a full-time farmer, that's the only business/job AI won't replace

Governments can try, but the one Country that doesn't follow such restrictions will capture the whole market. The company which secretly uses AI will dominate. This can't be stopped.

Didn't ask for a career advice. AI can only replace things which are allowed by law. This planet is not owned by AI's. Govt put restrictions on trade all the time to protect business interests. Companies do that too. Soon, such restrictions will be placed on AI too.
Then Do Consider that as Career advice, Bcoz AI and Robots will change the whole world, This is unstoppable. Govt cant do anything here.
many many Jobs are at risk from most of the sectors

A.I. is going to impact, no doubt. But the effect and scale is unknown for now. Jobs related with social skill, soft skill, networking (business relationship), creative job is not going anywhere. Plus there will be a new untapped job emerge to fill requirement of AI/robotics sector. Think like situation, automation did impact lots of job but didn't replace whole sector.

So far we have been replacing physical labor and parts of intellectual labor with automation and software systems, this is just an extension of that..
How will placing restrictions help? If we don't capitalize on it some other country will and we'll be less competitive in the market. India missed the industrial revolution, rest of the world moved ahead.

Govt will rather use it for mass surveillance. When Edward Snowden said that govts don't have enough manpower to make sense of mammoth of data being generated, he didn't know there could be machine learned AI which will do this job very effectively. AI could be used to find the real person sitting behind an avatar on a forum.

Read sci fi books, you'll find there's an AI that's playing the government for real humans. Apparently, real humans are too stupid to govern themselves. This job is too important to be left in the hands of moody irrational beings.

ChatGPT and now Bard .. what's with the names ? They should give Marketing more time to come up with better names. IBM Watson sounds much better..lol

google into music too, but not open to pubic now

https://google-research.github.io/seanet/musiclm/examples/ <-- check the samples it generated with a text

bing.com doesn't have any restrictions as of now so companies can use it at scale where as its almost impossible with google, so bing+Chatgpt looks much more promising VS Google+Bard. For a casual search (5~10 searches in a day) I doubt people will move to other search engines when google can do the job.
