Laptops MacBook Air Battery Service cost?

Have a 2017 Air. Recently a notification has started appearing that “the battery capacity has been reduced significantly, visit the service center to restore”.

It has made me think what would be the estimate to get it serviced and if it’s even worth it at this point?
I’ve been thinking about getting a better laptop anyway and preferably windows since I’ve started doing a lot of stuff with Arduino and whatnot.
 
offical macbook battery will be expensive, you can get an aftermarket battery for less than 5k.

if you are getting decent / managable battery backup then there is no need to change the battery, you can just ignore the system notification.

I am getting a quote of lapcare battery replacement in under 3K. currently its barely surviving 2hrs with full charge.
 
Got my 2015 Air battery replaced over a year ago from Apple official service centre, cost 13.5k total
It’s definitely on the much much higher side, but the laptop will last me a few more years with a good battery, so I’d rather spend one time on the official battery considering the last battery lasted close to 5 years
Plus the way I saw it was with the new battery, I won’t have to replace the laptop soon, so I’m saving on the cost of buying a new laptop
