See if this fits your requirements

The pixel 6a makes the most sense for me if I had to give a phone to my parents. Excellent cameras. Also size is perfect as usually parents prefer compact phones. And long software support they will be good for atleast 4 years.

Would recommend samsung s20 Fe 5g. The displays of Samsung phones are unparalleled according to my eyes. It's specs may be a bit behind others but for everyday use, Samsung phones are really well done with their new one ui. Wait for a sale or use cc offers and get it around 30k.

Samsung S21FE may be available during the next sale, it was ~30k during Deepavali.

If urgent, look at Pixel 6a or Moto; the UI will be less complicated. Samsung A53 is overpriced for what it offers.

Go with s20fe. It supports 5g with airtel/jio. Samsung also gives regular updates and promises 3yr support. The camera is good, it also has IP68 dust and water resistance. Screen is amoled and is very good. In s21fe you get the exynos version in India so don't go for it.

Thank you for your suggestions everyone. Unfortunately, my dad decided that he does not want to spend 30k for a phone so he bought Mi 11i Hypercharge, which cost him 23k.
Your suggestions were very valuable though.

All above mentioned options are good and will work well for a phone for parents. I would like to add 1 more to your list of consideration and that will be the nothing phone 1. After the latest updates there are no bugs and the phone is now one of the smoothest phone in it's price range.
The cameras are good, display is really nice, the design is subjective, maybe too flashy for parents some may say, but that can be solved with a case.
Overall it's a good phone
s21fe during sales is also a good option.
But I won't recommend pixel 6a now, it has a rebranded exynos chip, although it will work well for the requirements that you have listed, I still won't suggest it due it straight up being old and Google's track record of service in India has not been well (it is improving after pixel 7 launch).
