The Lego (and Knockoffs) Thread

Completed Lego Tuk Tuk with my daughter today.

This is an incredble set - it has a high number of unique parts, and the build experience is stellar. There is a lot of color to be found as well, with pink seats, red fire extenguisher, and usual yellow-green of the autorickshaw. The small details are extremely well managed, like a couple of "latkans" in the rear seat of the auto, luggage at the top etc. The front window can be closed or open, and the wheel ae so cute. You get the wheel and rim separately, and again, it's a joy to put together, and also playable for kids.

@Black_Hawk You should really get it. Worth the time and money (needs to be imported as it is unavailable in India).

This is a very fun build! I chose to go with the big Submarine and Octopus build (as can be seen above). One can also build a smaller Submarine, Manta Ray or Lobster and a Coral Reef in the alternate builds. I mainly got this set for the cool looking Yellow Submarine which I had to have on my Lego desk! Having said that, what caught me by surprise is how fantastic the Octopus build was and how great it looks with the movable tentacles!

Cheers Guys! :)

Building a small set this time... the LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest Microfighter (75321):

:nomouth:

This is a small set and only took a little time to build and complete. I mainly got it for the Mando Minifigure and love it perched on my desk. Looks very cool! :)

I am not buying anything as my dad went to Dubai and I have got couple of knockoff lego sets from him but the prices are good here.

Do check as many are 50% off. Especially technic.

Yes. Banger sale. Only wish is more 18+ sets should have been on discount.

Hoping the knock off I have ordered through my dad turn out to be good. Will post pics tomorrow (of box only). Cannot show the kids right now as exams going on and it will distract them.
Some of the sets are really priced well. I saw one lego set when I had been to Dubai. It was transformers set and legoland Dubai and lego store in dubai mall, price was equivalent to 20K rupees.
In India too price was similar but in this sale it is 11K.

Got these 2 sets through my dad who has been on leisure trip to Dubai. I ordered these on noon.com and got it shipped to his hotel.

Left side one is copy of Lego 42096 porsche 911 rsr. It is for my elder kid. The box weighs 1.7 kg.
The right side one is not copy of any lego set. It is for my younger kid who is crazy about dinosaurs.

Lego Folks....Did you guys buy anything in this Amazon sale? Lego prices were really good I feel and many sets were 50% off. Since I got the above 2 sets, I didn't get anything but if good offer comes next year, I will definitely buy something.
If any of you bought something, pics or so will be appreciated.

Bought and had to reject delivery for all sets are they came in as if steamrolled by Hulk. Usual issue with Amazon, shipping items worth tens of thousands without any protection, and a ketchup bottle with 200 layers of packaging.
Many chaps did receive undamaged packaging, so YMMV. It was a really good sale. Over now though (for Lego)

I checked on a lego facebook group and someone mentioned that people who marked it as "Gift" got the undamaged boxes.

I always mark as gift for the last few years. Yet they arrive in pathetic condition, with just a paper envelope. My exchange/return rate for Lego is over 90% with Amazon.

Does anyone know what happened to those Mi Technic knock-offs they used to sell on their website? I don't see it available now anymore.

Also, anyone here found any alternate website for Lego Knock offs in India or overseas that ship to India at reasonable rates? Aliexpress has like clone of every popular lego set at fraction of price but damn we cannot get it shipped to India.
I did talk to some sellers and they were ready to ship to India but the shipping price is exorbitant. Most times more than the set's price.

I have been checking the /r/lepin subreddit and tried to check with some sellers there. There is one named www [dot] joooooy [dot] com and I talked to their seller too over facebook messenger and they do ship to India via regular post. They do charge shipping though and cheapest shipping is $8. The shipping is on weight I believe and not number of sets.
As an example..

A 1580piece transformer optimus prime set which costs 20K regularly and 11K in this Diwali amazon sale is selling for $40 approx and $8 shipping.
A London architecture <500 pieces set (clone of lego architecture set) sells for $18 or so and has a $8 shipping and if you add 2x of this architecture set then it is still $8.

I had the same experience. 2/3 shipping boxes were totally chewed out. With one inside box damaged. Anyway for the kids it didn't matter
