Monitors Recommend me good 1440p monitor under 25,000 INR.

Which one if better of the two?

I have narrowed down to these:

Dell S2721DGF
MSI G273QF
LG 27GN800-B

People like techless(good monitor reviewer) recommends G273QF in their recent videos.
Dell has HDR but its local dimming is very bad so not useful at all
I plan to VESA mount, so any features of the stand are useless to me

Acer XV272U KV

Check its rtings.com review & compare it with others. Don't expect HDR at this price, you need at least 70k for a good HDR monitor (Neo G7). Also, Acer has internal power supply, so no external brick. Just get a 15A to 5A plug converter, just in case.

This is sadly the problem.
Most of these monitors which should cost around 22-25K go for 34K+ in India.
I did watched the video and was disappointed that there were not available in India.
Also how is this reviewer ? He rates MSI G273QF as one of the best.

No idea of that reviewer but MSI G273QF does have a good panel. Read through rtings.com reviews, I would rate them & Hardware Unboxed as top monitor reviewers.

As mentioned earlier, the internal power brick is an advantage for Acer. Another major one is better single overdrive mode across the whole refresh range. If you find MSI for 20k vs 25k for Acer, can money though. Compare it with LG as well. If I remember correctly, Dell one is inferior.
 
I am in the same boat as you and I have chosen Acer XV272U KV. I will wait for year-end sale/Republic Day sale for getting (hoping) a price cut + card offer to buy that for less than ₹23,000.

Avoid Oneplus, easy. New brand, might have poor response times, overshoot, poor colour calibration or all of them. External looks of a monitor matters the least.

M27Q rev 2.0 might be a good option as it doesn't have BGR sub-pixel layout like its rev 1.0 counterpart, just normal RGB pixel layout. Check rtings.com review of rev 1.0 model to know why in their text clarity section.

And what is the lowest price that m27q 2.0 gets sold at?

Avoid this, not a top-tier VA panel, so good IPS options will outperform it everywhere except the contrast ratio.

This a good one. My cousin is using it and it's has very good picture quality and viewing angle. He got it for 24k during sale time
 
Probably off-topic, but just curious to know how my monitor is holding up over the years. I bought an LG Odyssey G5 27" 2K 144Hz for about 24k in Apr '21. I mostly use it in a dark room and had issues with gloom and bleeding with an IPS monitor I previously owned. So was only looking for darker blacks, good contrast, less gloom, etc. I'd like to know if there is a considerable upgrade from this.

No actual experience for below -
There is g7 which is supposed to be much better. Generally whenever i have looked at this, people recommend g7 as minimum. And only g7+ Samsung va i think avoids smearing issues.
And then there is neo g7 which has HDR capabiities that apparently approaches OLED ( OLED is better, but has burn in issues potentially so not ideal outside games/videos). One thing that many complaint on is viewing angles and that you need to look at it dead center. And also apparent qc issues.
You can look up rtings for detailed reviews.

How is yours? Do you mind the less than ideal viewing angles ?

I was going to buy the acer one mentioned above which prob has the best price/perf for 1440p monitors but i just cant pull the trigger as i want proper HDR ( but also need to use desktop for extended coding work)

I'd say the viewing angle issue is pretty much TN level. Lack of any height, tilt adjustability makes it even worse. "Less than ideal" is putting it very mildly. I mean,

- this is not an exaggeration. Only way this is better than TN, in terms of viewing angle, is that it doesn't look as worse as a TN off angle.
One other thing I dislike is that blacks aren't as dark near edges.
For gaming, none of these is an issue for me. But for media consumption, if there's a dark scene I'm watching at night, these are very much noticeable.
The unit I received doesn't have any QC issues though.

From what i have read, OLEDs are best for these kind of things but are expensive too. LG C2 on sale in offline store i think was available at 75k which is very nice. But its huge and not fit as a monitor at arms distance. Every category seems to have tradeoffs unfortunately.

yeah same issue in neo g7 too i think, 'saturation loss' near edges + brightness changes, more blooming with FALD. Below is a very good review site too. Looking at video, it does not seem too bad in game, and i do tend to sit near center or slightly above it.

My main use case is gaming + coding/browsing. Also i prefer dimly lit room and not completely dark, so hopefully that should mitigate these issues.
I am waiting for neo g7 to become available at amazon + appario to get easy replacement if needed because of possible qc issues.

On balance would you say you are happy with VA vs ips ? Contrast makes it worth it, esp for games ?

g7 is priced in 40s and neo g7 in higher 60s. g7 has different variants, both 4k and 1440p and i think even an ips one so better look at review of same model in rtings or similar if you consider it.
Only couple of OLED monitors ( more tv options) in india from Dell and it has pretty steep price ~1.3L(Samsung got one too based on same panel). Goes on sale in USA but not so much here it seems. Its cheaper freesync variant is actually more expensive in India. Also their warranty isn't perfect, they seem to send refurbished units which themselves might have issues ...
