How are OnePlus phones now?

As far as I know the LAST legit OnePlus phone was the 7T Pro. Then they got absorbed into Oppo and I heard how flimsy their software also got. The 8 and 9 were definitely not good upgrades so I stopped caring about the brand altogether. However since then they have released numerous models. How are the 10 and 11 models?
I'm interested because their models come in more storage than just 128GB which I definitely need.

Overall OnePlus is among the few brands that makes it easy to unlock the bootloader. Otherwise, we need to judge each model on its own merit, and generally there is no good/bad about all models of a brand.

Which exact variant should one wait for? I don't know why they have all this T's, Pro's and R's....so confusing.

Right now, Nord and 10 Series should be the ones to avoid. Nord 2T with D1300 is less appealing when compared to Nothing Phone 1 and Pixel 6A.

The 2 proper phones from OnePlus now are the 11 Series, namely the OnePlus 11 and the 11R. 11 is good for offering Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and good cams for under 60k. You get a 256GB variant as well.
And 11R comes with SD 8 Gen 1 for 40k, so from a price to performance POV, these 2 phones have a very strong proposition.
The alert slider made a comeback after disappearing in the 10 series as well.

OnePlus has also promised 4 years of OS updates. Tbh, ColorOS is something newer or less experienced buyers can live with, as long as there's no bloatware.

I've never liked any of the Nord since it's inception. Overhyped and overpriced. Not to forget the shitty video camera quality which is one of the most important features for me. They are decent only for still photos and still falls short in many areas.

I'll check this out. I'm not obsessed with the latest models. I use a crappy Exynos even now.
Will they launch a "Pro T" model for the 11? I assume that's the top of their line variant of the same model series?

As someone who had a front row seat to OnePlus's fall from grace having bought the 9R on release, i now spend my days scouring through the corners of the internet actively discouraging people from treading the same path.

Nothing much has changed with the release of the newer models. Oxygen OS is dead, it is now 100% Color OS with all its bloatware and cheap-feeling ,unrefined user experience. A quick glance into OnePlus's own community app will tell you all you need to know, with users complaining of bugs for months together, never to be addressed and only to be disregarded like yesterday's coconut chutney.

If you're buying it for a OnePlus device, you'll obviously be disappointed. If you're looking for just another phone from a Chinese brand which has relatively good build quality, and specs that offer great VFM, your needs will be met.

One plus Nord ce 2 lite owner here . Strictly average phone . Oxygen OS 13 is strictly average . I prefer it less than miui . As I prefer the frills that come with miui . Lesser bloatware than miui surely . Overall I'd buy a mi device over a cheap one plus series phone . Cannot comment about the more expensive one plus series . Also the Nord ce 2 lite is a clone of some realme device also . So they do that too . Just my 2 cents . Cheers , I'm out .

Just as I feared, OnePlus despite their popular claims of being partnered with some fancy sounding brands still makes for shoddy quality camera. Why oh why. I think I'll stick to Samsung's S class and Sony Ericsson phones.
If only Asus sold the Zenfone 9 in India then all my phone dilemma would disappear!

When even the Nord wasn't that good you went for the Nord CE model, a Lite version at that which has a lot of compromises. You are absolutely right so!
Yes it's also a copy of a Realme model.
Man it looks like OnePlus fate has been sealed.

Unbeknownst to me it was purchased by my father . I brought him a samsung afterwards . Now this phone is lying with me almost brand new and without a sim in it as I just do not like it .

Exactly my thoughts, I can't agree more.

I owned OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus peaked at 7 Pro, I still regard it as one of the the greatest phones of recent times. It was ahead of its time, a complete seamless excellent screen with almost nil bezels, bloat-free almost stock Android, amazing cameras for the time, fast storage, etc. It had everything that makes a great smartphone. IMO OnePlus went downhill after that.

Oneplus One was the best they made in terms of VFM. After that, none were at that level. Which do you guys consider the best VFM android right now?

Tbh one plus was doomed the day Carl decided to step out. I'd lost faith on oneplus from that day itself.
I actually don't think that Carl Pei should take the credits. He's just a good businessman. Look at the Nothing phone. It's nothing exceptional (example. Only it's primary cam is decent. UW is bad) nor have the highest specs but offers a unique feature while making it affordable and people are buying it.

I agree. OnePlus One was their best phone ever.

S20FE for sure if it costs below 25k.
Or one of those Xiaomi/Poco phones I guess. I would've voted for Moto but they don't have anything out of the extraordinary.

its not just abt one plus ,its about nothing phone and all vfm phones .Carl just mentioned that they make zero income on the phone they want to make a brand image and than put a premium price .One plus milks people on the basis of old phones .But now ...

So enjoy /buy nothing phone till the vfm lasts than look for another cow which we can milk
