Budget 31-40k Laptop : Core i3 N305 vs Intel Core i3-1115G4

Well, from Notebookcheck entry, it looks like 12th gen i3 without the performance cores. So you get 8 efficiency cores, effectively Skylake-ish power. The single core performance isn't that high, nor are the boost clocks high. In multithread loads it should be decent, but the lack of high burst clock might not give the best performance.

I would still say, try going with 1115G4 if that's what you are looking for. I have a 12th gen i3 but use it only for basic tasks, it works very well. The silver lining would be the lower TDP, the 12th gen i3 can get pretty toasty when you are hitting the cores hard (Like compiling or editing stuff). The higher clockspeeds and better architecture should also translate to better battery life and lower thermals.
EDIT: I would suggest waiting for some benchmarks. Just realized i3 11th gen has only 2 cores, while this has 8. The single core comment still stands, so it might also depend on your workload.

One more thing to keep in mind is that N305 does not support dual channel memory and is usually shipped with 8GB RAM at max (sometimes lesser). i3-1115G4 on the other hand is only dual-core. Try and look into Ryzen alternatives in the same price point maybe?

Please share link of Ryzen if you come across. Should I go for Ryzen 3 or 5 ?
