Hello,
I recently bought a obage DT-21. And I have noticed when there is no audio playing, the speakers have a buzzing noise. I contacted obage and they said that's normal, however it has been irritating me. Is there any solution to fix this issue?

Yea it's very common here, usually happens due to wonky grounding or dirty signal. I usually plug in my amps in a port which doesn't have any other connections to it, helps with the buzzing

The issue is not with the speakers as such, but the amplifier board, there could be a number of possibilities...
Try snd see if the humming is still there if you switch to a different input, no need to play anything just see if humming is there while the amp is idle...

There could be many reasons tbh. Commonly its the placement of bluetooth module near some part of the board which causes it to hum... Or may be a part of the board which is not of proper matching power in terms of resistance etc...

Please note humming or hissing isn't normal, you should take it up with the seller and get the item replaced...

We buy audio equipments for sheer pleasure hence these nuisances however small should not be acceptable...

I tried changing to a different input and that didn't work. Even changing the location didn't work. The humm is audible if the volume is greater than some threshold (Around 40%).

Ask for a replacement, if they say it will be there in all systems then return it.
That means they are serving a improperly cooked circuit board which is causing the hum.
Although it doesn't matter, have you ascertained that the speaker connections (if there are satellites attached) are proper...
Try using in a different outlet in a different room for a chnage...

Heey, thanks for the reply, I tried plugging the speakers in my phone and there was little to no buzzing noise. Seems like there's a problem with my laptops audio output.
