Energy meter/Power meter to check power consumption

Huh?

Please suggest an energy meter to check the daily power consumption of household consumer equipments. There are so many of them in Amazon and not sure which is reliable one. My budget is around 2k.

Meco. Comes with a calibration certificate. There are two. One for 6A and another for 16A. They do RMS measurements so if the inverter trips they will still show the correct consumption figures. Even if it doesn't a meter that handles RMS is going to be more accurate than one that does not. So forget any of these smart plugs because they are all junk.

There are Chinese brands that you can fix to a power strip

I have been measuring my washing machine's power consumption for the last three months with both. will post a photo later so you can see the difference.

This does not come with a calibration cert and is down to how good the QA is. That is why it's good to have more than one measurement device to double check.

Is there any good device to compute power usage of an appliance for an entire day.
Need to calculate no. of units consumed by AC, Computer, Refrigerator, Washing Machine with both 15/16Amp and 5/6Amp modules.

I did buy this one some 8 months back and overall tested many gadgets including A/C's, refrigerator, washing machine etc.... This is not calibrated one like Meco which costs more but does a decent job. The app could have been better. This is 16A and you may need a convertor plug if you are looking for 6A module.

I had similar requirement and I went diy route with esp8266 and PZEM-004T. And finally hooked up to my MCB box and made it to talk to home assistant to log the power usage.
Budget came under 1k but had to put lot of my time troubleshooting and assembling it.

This tiny PZEM-004T circuit is great for measuring AC ( RMS) voltage, current, and power (single-phase).

Well done :)
