Primary usage: daily use, mild gaming (eg eFootball, not any PUBG like high graphics game)
Main requirements: long lasting, good battery, good camera, 8GB RAM, 256 storage if possible, 128 works as well
Preferred brands: samsung, oneplus
Disliked brands: xiaomi (not good in this range), oppo, vivo (both have too much bloatware)

I liked oneplus nord 2T but it does not have earphone port. It's not a dealbreaker but I would absolutely love to have the option to use wired earphones. I don't have much knowledge about processors and other stuff.

Please provide your recommendations and reasons

You should really consider Pixel 6A, 7A is also going to launch so night want to wait for that.
Specs are more than enough for little gaming. Battery is good, charging could've been faster. Camera is superb!

I gifted my dad 6A and it's such an amazing phone! Also it feels very compact, you can easily use it one handed.

Apple started, others followed. Anti-consumer practice considering Sony made the 3.5mm jack to return on their flagships
Sony cannot even be considered a consumer phone manufacturer if they are going to manufacture 1 device a year at $1500. They are selling it to their mirrorless camera owners as an external monitor, so of course it needs the connectivity for practicality.

The ship has sailed. If headphone jacks were a necessity, there would have been enough market demand for manufacturers to retain it. People have moved on to wireless for convenience and even otherwise dongles are now an accepted way of life.

Forget Sony. S23 Ultra has a big stylus inside while iPhone 13 pro max doesn't & both have a similar size.

I know phone companies will likely not revert back to a 3.5mm jack, but size being a constraint is a BS reason to not put a 3.5mm jack. Consumers can't do anything, Samsung retained the 3,5mm jack for 2 more years after Apple removed it, I think. Now consumers just have no choice, hence BT.

Anyways, going off-topic.

If the headphone jack is a decision limiter, do consider a usb c to 3.5mm jack connector
Sample:

Of course, you being unable to charge while using headphone would remain :(
Some phones, like my S20FE, doesn't work with all 3.5mm to type C adapters. It apparently needs one with built in DAC. I got one for 400 or so, but it has a low static noise always, which is annoying. Pixel one is considered good, but expensive at 1.5k, at that point get a good neckband or TWS for 3k.

I do kind of agree with you on this. I wanted to get the adapter for my mother's mid range samsung and couldn't be sure. I just bought the samsung branded adapter from samsung website.. and thankfully it worked. I do agree though that i wasn't sure it would.

Cost? Any static sound?
Think it's 700 right now. Regarding static sound.. i don't use it personally so I'm not sure (i have a one plus adapter for my OnePlus). Give me a day or two to get back to you.

I didn't see it in stock anywhere when I was purchasing. Can see it in stock in jiomart only right now. Anyways, do get back on the static sound.

We have a 21FE and no issue with a generic adapter. Wifey never complained.

It was bought on Amazon, make was Sounce. ~500.

The POCO F5 decimates the competition under 30K and comes with a 2-year warranty. My brother placed an order for it yesterday and will receive it on the weekend.
How has his experience been? strongly considering it for the specs and the custom ROM scene(previous phone was the k20 pro, absolutely loved it but the screen broke ;-;)

Camera feedback?
It's been an upgrade for him from his POCO X3. The details are higher, but I don't have much knowledge about the camera quality. I recommend checking picture samples online or watching YouTube comparisons to get a better idea. There are better camera phones available in this price range if camera quality is your top priority.

Update: Poco F5 is only available online and I didn't know this. I wanted to buy offline and went with Redmi Note 12 pro. I know redmi has bloatware spyware etc, but all other aspects tick my boxes. I've disabled/uninstalled ads and useless stuff as much as Redmi allows and it does not hamper day-to-day use. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, got it for 25k offline
